UK authorities refuse Nawaz Sharif's visa extension request

.
@HRK @Blacklight @Norwegian

If he has to be deported, I think he cannot go to any country! He must be deported to the country of origin?
We should urge UK HO to deport him for over staying. Not, a case to arrest him etc to provide him a reason to seek asylum, or political refuge.
He will lodge an appeal and at that time he cannot be deported till his appeal is heard and decided. If the appeal is refused he will then have 10 days to leave. The masterly stroke is for Pak lawyers to appeal to the court to prevent him from interfering in Pakistani politics.

And suddenly too much boasting of British Laws where people like Altaf Hussain enjoying a luxury life and the same British Law that couldn't see the black money pouring into England, stashed and provided the security to culprits but has to vote against Pakistan for money laundering.

To whom it may concern
Don't lecture others and pretend to be innocent and way to clean contrary to reality.

If he becomes British National, I think this can be the pleading.

Why iam having a feeling that even if english authorities deport him to pak, our gov't isnt willing to take him back?
The government wants him back, and the government never even wanted to send him away in the first place.

It's the other government that sent him away, and it was the other government that did not even want him to come to Pakistan (from London at the time) in the first place in 2018, which is why his sentencing happened in haste in absentia. Not sure if now that other government want him back too, but I have my doubts about the British authorities deporting him.

The refusal of a visa could be a pressure tactic by the UK to make the Sharifs agree to certain political conditions to renew the VISA, that PML must enact "on" Pakistan if they ever come to power again ?! There is more to this, than meets the eye.

Are the USA/UK/Quad combo looking to dispose of the PTI through whatever means they "can" and then if PML manage to win the next sdet of political musical chairs, have a compliant goverment in place with agreed actions. ie hedging their bets.

PTI has a adopted a Pakistan first and Pro-Pakistan approach to their decisions, especially foreign policy and i can imagine that the west is tired of this and wants a complaint Pakistan that yields to both the west and India ?

(that is my conspiracy theory for today).

I think at this time they will not upset Pakistan and Imran Khan when already under seige from the US UNLESS Pakistan sees this as a way out of a!sticky situation. The fact is another isolation of 10 years will virtually end his career. Will he want to go there or in Dubai? Yes.
It is a matter of shame that a PM of a state is running around begging governments to give him refuge.

I believe he will return right before the elections, and even if he does not, his party stays alive and enjoys great support in Central and Northern Punjab. If people were really concerned about national shame, he'd have lost popular support after he made a deal with a dictator and went to exile for almost a decade.

I.k should be the last politician in Pakistan to play victim card. Bold dynamic and brave was the standard set by him so as per the constitutional chief executive of the country he must man up and take responsibility for the n.r.o given under his watch.

And you are right, this is not theory it is the ground reality.,

This!works in our favour. He then loses all rights to interfere in Pak politics as he is legally not a citizen of Pakistan anymore.

Incorrect. An asylee does not lose the original nationality despite a lack of documents or a suspended right to entry.

Aitazaz Ahson was saying if he applies for asylum or appeals the decision it maybe possible for Pak lawyers to put a gagging order on him. I am not an expert on legal matters but I would believe Aitazaz any day.

A gag order is a totally different matter from being rendered stateless or losing nationality by virtue of seeking or being granted asylum. Certain requirements can be applied to the approval of asylum, as well as ongoing conditions to maintain it by the country granting asylum. The matter will need to be pursued in UK courts according to UK laws if so desired by Pakistani authorities.

Having said that, it would be almost impossible to prevent any person from speaking out their mind over political or other matters while resident in the UK. One possible avenue would be a law passed in Pakistan that requires all party office holders to not have asylee or similar status in any country of the world. Even then, speaking out on matters of Pakistani politics that others may regard as interference would be almost impossible to stop. The more Pakistani authorities pursue him, the more ammunition they risk giving to NS to claim political victimization, rightly or wrongly.

This matter is not over by a long shot, and it will be interesting to see the directions towards which it may head.

The British government has been under scrutiny from certain transparency groups to not extend refuge to an absconder like Nawaz Sharif. The problem for Nawazoo is that Panama revelations weren't fabricated by the opposition. These were revealed through leaks and proved to be authentic. That puts Britain in a very awkward position to provide asylum to a known absconder. The Brits do realize their limitations here. Nawazoo has the potential of damaging diplomatic relations at the highest level. The Brits are playing poker, but their hand is very weak.

I hope all British Pakistani's and all the British people who stand against money laundering, sign this petition.

@waz @The Eagle I was not sure where to put this, please post it in another relevant section, if deemed off-topic.
