The earth is indeed rich in mineral and biological wealth. We have something like 10^18 (1 milion trillion) tons of organic biomass on this planet. Of that, I think something crazy like 40% of that is plant and used for photosynthesis. Our entire planet is silicon, a crucial mineral for electronics; this composition though is relatively rare, with most planets seeming to be gas giants or ice. Our core is iron, a crucial construction material for spacecraft, which the aliens might want to mine. Of course there's the pesky 10^10 humans living on earth, so the aliens may want to remove us before exploiting this mineral wealth.

I seriously think that the UN should draw up a united Earth orbital defense plan, and have a united Earth nuclear arsenal in the control of no country, based in Antarctica, staffed and funded by the UN, specifically for the purpose of fighting aliens.

Why is human the only creature having hairless skin, sweating from head to toe, able to speak, write, sing, think, discover mathematical equations, escaped gravity of Earth and went to Moon, and discovered Big Bang theory and explored the universe beyond solar System?

Is it a natural evolution that made us what we are? Why other Earth creatures do not evolved as advance as human? Did somebody called gods altered our gene? May be we were altered to be intellegent and efficient slave workers to serve the few space travellers in their Earth expeditions. They call themselves gods, set up following called religions and set up rules in holy books.

The alien gods will not harm us because we are their creations. But if we are out of control and try to destroy Earth, we will face hails of fires and rocks falling from sky, burning seas and shaking earth destroying cities, and end of human race.

i think that we give ourselves too little credit. we can definitely make things very painful for any aliens that obey the laws of physics, but in the end, we will still be defeated.

remember, the aliens are at least 10000 years ahead of us (the time we "discovered" agriculture... or were probably introduced to it by aliens). 1000 years ago we were still using horse chariots. however, technology has diminishing returns, so nukes, railguns and lasers (deployable in the next 100 years) will still be able to significantly damage aliens.
