UAE citizens to enjoy visa-free travel to Kazakhstan
Visa waiver for Emiratis travelling to Kazakhstan begins on July 15

Emiratis can enter Kazakhstan on a 15-day visit without the need for pre-entry visas as of July 15.

Ahmad Saeed Al Daheri, Director of Consular Affairs at the Foreign Ministry, said the decision by Kazakhstan to exempt UAE nationals from pre-entry visas comes in the backdrop of excellent bilateral relations, which have witnessed great development at all levels.

He praised this positive step by Kazakhstan which will strengthen the growing relations between the two countries and encourage travel and tourism.

The move will also open up wider horizons and new avenues of cooperation in business and investment for businessmen and citizens in the two countries, he said.

Kairat Lama Sharif, Kazakhstan Ambassador to the UAE, said the visa exemption for UAE citizens is aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and creating an investor-friendly environment for businessmen and tourists during their stay in Kazakhstan.

In March, a new ruling was issued by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs exempting citizens of 13 European member states from requiring a pre-entry visa to the UAE.

The 13 countries that come under the new exemption are Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Hungary, Latvia, Estonia, Malta, Cyprus, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.

At present, the citizens of 34 countries ,including the United States, Canada and 15 European countries, enjoy visa-free access to the UAE.

Once the UAE is fully granted visa-free access to the Schengen countries, its citizens will enjoy visa-free travel to more than 100 countries around the world.
