But the US does a fairly good job in meeting up with Japanese interests. For example, both are against China's 9 dash line claim. So the US being in Japan makes it easier for the military forces of both to conduct joint-training together and the US is able to respond much sooner to anything in the Asia-Pacific than if it had to sail from Hawaii or California.

Now you can stop pretending that what China really wants is for the US to leave. So you just say whatever in order to corrupt the US-Japan alliance. If you want the US to leave, give up the Senkaku Island claim, give up claim on Taiwan, and give up the 9 dash line claim. If not, the US is welcomed in Japan.

If China was confident in how nicely its industrialization and modernization of Xinjiang is going, then surely tourists should be allowed to go through there freely and the UN should be able to investigate freely in Xinjiang. But no, this is then called "interfering with domestic affairs".
