In response to the arrest of three U.S. soldiers on suspicion of invading a prefectural high school in Naha City in the early hours of the 15th, Prefectural Education Superintendent Mitsuru Hannei told the prefectural assembly’s Education, Welfare and Welfare Committee on the 16th, “The school building where students’ educational activities are conducted.” If it is true that U.S. military personnel infiltrated the country, it is truly regrettable and should not have happened. We will closely monitor the results of the police investigation and consider our response.” The victim of the intrusion was Shuri Prefectural High School, and there have been incidents in the prefecture in the past, such as U.S. military vehicles invading school grounds, and the school has strongly protested each time and requested measures to prevent a recurrence.
At Shuri High School, the principal explained the incident to all students on the 16th. He also informed students during the live observation that police would be in and out of the school, and urged students not to become anxious.
Summary of the incident

This is a regular problem in South Korea actually of US servicemen misbehaving. Japan is such a peaceful country and the people are genuinely very polite, regretful incident.

A former colleague lives in Seoul and has recounted similar incidents there. It normally gets hushed up as to not damage relations.

US military personnel have a history of sex crimes in Japan, especially in Okinawa. It's not difficult to imagine what they were doing in a school.

It says it was October 9th. That's a holiday in Japan called "Sports Day".
I bet they jumped a fence and were playing basketball.

A holiday where students attend school regularly to play sports and exercise instead of studying.

Were you trying to insinuate that schools are closed on Saturday? If not, your reply is moot.

So you are saying a school that didn't have the day off but instead was crowded with parents watching their kids doing sporting events on "Sports Day" was "broken into" in the early hours by these soldiers.

Were you trying to insinuate that schools are closed on Saturday? If not, your reply is moot.

Why do you think it was a Saturday? The 9th was a Monday? Did you read the post about the date being October 9th which is the 2nd Monday of the month which is Sports Day?

Is this calendar clear enough for you to see which day is the 9th?

How did you screwup and think Saturday??

I'm pretty sure American bases have great sports facilities, in Japan of all places. So I'm really questioning why you're defending what actually seems like a case of paedophilia?

Why don't we just say they were blasphemers and just stone them on the spot too.
