U.S. officials are “freaking out” over the sale of Motor Sich to China

Actually the Ukrainians themselves are "paranoid" over this deal, so much so, that this happened

"The possible sale of Motor Sich -- a maker of engines for missiles, helicopters, and jets -- to the Chinese provoked a raid of its Zaporizhzhya headquarters by Ukraine's Security Service in early 2018 and the seizure of its shares."

so, even without US intervention, Ukraine sees it as a national security to sell such a vital defense company.

They are not paranoid at all. There is just a conflict about kickbacks. Motor Sich is going to be bankrupt and disappear without this sale since no one is buying their engines anymore after the close of Russian market.

The owner is pro Russia.
Sich main customer was Russia but now cannot sell to Russia.
40% of Sich revenue comes from China.
Sich technology are unworkable in the west but very suitable for China and Russia.
10,000 jobs are at stake.

Further more how has United States interference in Ukraine turned out. They have gain nothing and lost everything. They can only be slave of the west. Only the US win.

China will save jobs. China will bring investment in more jobs and better infrastructure. China is win win.
