U.S. Helped Pakistan Get IMF Bailout With Secret Arms Deal for Ukraine, Leaked Documents Reveal

India gets CEO jobs, nuclear tech, advanced offensive weapons, trade agreements, full assistance and so much more.

LOL Pakistan gets an IMF deal from daddy America. More loans to repay existing loans LOL

Just put that in perspective.
The problem stems from the zeal of Pakistanis for the visa. As long as that exists, they will sell themselves and everyone else for it for literally nothing.

If you were to announce tomorrow that the first person to walk naked in a marketplace will get a US visa & flight next day, you'd find a line of naked men.

If you get Pakistanis to stop running, if tomorrow all immigration was banned, the problem would be solved overnight.

.
Pakistanis are not interested in such things. Real estate is all they care about.

India was also bankrupt and reliant on foreign funding before its economy took off.

Even until Musharraf time, Pakistan and India were at par. Like every time, military pushes the country into a foreign war, we have been falling in the bottomless pit. We fought American war in Afghanistan The military got the money but country's reputation tanked. It was in a war zone with investments just handouts from the Americans.

This has more to do with Pakistani generals and political leaders selling themselves and the future of their country to outsiders.

Of course, Pakistanis are renowned for selling themselves for visas and nationalities. They sell their own nationality to Afghans.

All this turmoil in country just for 900 millions? How cheap these generals are.

.
We should have stayed neutral. Imran Khan was elected PM, Bajwa is a govt official. He had no right to do what he did.
Imran Khan's foreign policy was a disaster.
The power must shift to people. The military traitors must be taught a lesson.
This only works in highly educated western societies. Pakistan is not highly educated - you might not believe it because you live in an english speaking educated bubble.

Half of Pakistan can't even write its name down (The threshold for literacy). Most of the remaining half go to third rate schools and cheat in their board exams. The average IQ in Pakistan is barely 85, and people are lynched over QR codes and false blasphemy allegations. Do you really think such people are capable of making an informed decision about who to vote, or will just vote for their own clansman and whoever looks good in tiktok edits?

The pea sized, binary military mind thinks that not taking US side means supporting Russia. No one is supporting Russia here. We just believe Pakistan has no interest taking sides.

The military sold the country for $900 million and to safeguard their power interest. The military is holding the country hostage and protects foreign interest more than Pakistan's. This has been the story of every martial law.
We absolutely do have interest in taking sides. You can make money off selling weapons to the warring Europeans (this is how America became a superpower) while also gaining influence in the west.

It's not like Russia itself hasn't already sold billions of dollars worth of weapons to India, including thousands of tanks, thousands of Brahmos, aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines, and hundreds of fighter jets, which pose an existential threat to Pakistan.

There is no benefit to being neutral or supporting Russia other than satisfying the ego of low IQ edgelords on the internet.

The Pakistani generals have a genuine love affair with their American counterparts. Despite the latter abusing and scolding the generals.

While Russia is no saint, the Americans are the other side of the same coin. The US cannot be allowed to dictate Pakistani politics because right now it is dictating Pakistani politics with the help of the Pakistani generals.

I am sure they were, but the Indians turned it around. Do you really think that a dictatorship like Pakistan can turn it around?
Ironically Pakistan has had the best economy during military dictatorship, and the worst during civilian dictatorship.
Are the Americans ever going to invest in Pakistan as they did in India?
If Pakistan has something to offer other than real estate, and mafias in all sectors of the economy are clamped down upon, sure.

All of Pakistan's STEM students need to be given a reason not to run abroad for a half decent salary. The babu culture needs to be abolished.

If not that, at least sell more weapons to Ukraine to an extent the country is somewhat dependent on you and provides you a steady stream of income from the American dollar printer.

I would have left that last paragraph out, but I concur. Jinnah picked a side in the Cold War, not the generals. What little benefit we get from Russia for being neutral pales in comparison to the benefits of differentiating ourselves on the four sided Lodo board that is Central Asia.

By siding with the US, when India didn’t we could have differentiated ourselves, pushed back Indian influence in the US, and cobbled together some kind of defacto normalization of the Afghans in exchange for FDI in a development model that would have seen Central Asia resources value added in Pakistan, using the infrastructure build up under CPEC.

With the CPEC infrastructure achieving sustainability, and CPEC continuing, we could have balanced Chinese and US Relations. We would just be back to our normal animosity with Russia.

For me, the issue is that the elected PM should have made this move (on the back of a civilian foreign policy establishment), and not by “them” scrabbling to salvage their own misguiding of IK to meet Putin.

That is a myth. Pakistan never had a genuinely good economy that benefited the people during most of its existence. If it had a decent economy, the people wouldn't be this underdeveloped.

You can sell as many weapons as you like. That won't fix Pakistan. We all know what needs to be done to fix Pakistan. No meddling from the generals and outsiders in political matters.

No one is a saint - but there is no benefit to alienating the Europeans and Americans, who are your biggest trading partners.

The Americans dictate Pakistani politics because Pakistani politicians listen to them, not because they have set up some secret network inside Pakistan.

This is because to reach a position of power in Pakistan's backwards political system you have to be the type of person to sell your mother for personal benefit. Otherwise the system discards you eventually.

Pakistan is paying the price. The trade with the US and Europe has never benefitted Pakistan in the slightest. If it had, Pakistan wouldn't be in this position today.

Pakistan's economy was studied by South Korea while India was seen as a backwards jungle. Even in 1971 Pakistan's economy was superior to India's.

Then Bhutto nationalised everything and his successors privatised and handed it all back to their best buddies. Then the WoT started and the country became reliant on the crutch of foreign aid and cheap imports because of Dar Dollars.
You can sell as many weapons as you like. That won't fix Pakistan.
Actually, exports are something Pakistan desperately needs, especially if they are worth almost a billion dollars. It is better to get a billion from exports instead of an IMF program, no?

The Americans got rich selling weapons to warring Europeans.

Dude you literally live in the Netherlands...

I am sure many countries studied Pakistan. Yet others succeeded and Pakistan failed.

Pakistan needs zero meddling from the US and the generals. Everything else can be fixed.

You and others here are not getting the point I'm trying to make. For too long, the people have been blaming politicians and army for their problems. Yet the politicians and army come from the people.

When many of the people are corrupt, then many politicians and army will be corrupt. Why blame politicians and army for selling the country when ordinary citizens sell themselves for much less?

I blame everyone. All you need to do is read my posts.

My ultimate solution is for the expats to boycott Pakistan completely. Luckily this is at least happening in the shape of remittances. I don't believe in a Pakistan that can thrive. Simply because Pakistan is beyond redemption.
