I wouldn’t be surprised if Uncle SAM is attempting to lure us by promising to give us surplus military hardware from Afghanistan.

To check the seriousness of Uncle Sam’s statements, we must present our list to them. We must ask them to release 9 billon dollars funds and give us our 15 AH-1Z helicopters and allow the delivery of Turkish T-129. We want 36 surplus F-16s and F-16s in our current inventory to be upgraded to V standard. We also want to be back in white list of FATF. We want 25 billion dollar of direct investment in next 2.5 years.

and who will say that to the US? our pacifist PM or our coward COAS?

We have aligned ourselves with China and have already set our course of actions for next 50 years and Uncle SAM know this already. Pakistan will never roll back on CPEC because Our future depends on it.

My above statements is to test Uncle SAM’s seriousness.

No reason to request military items from the US further then. Once bitten twice shy, but I don't think the Establishment has gotten the memo yet.

Also, dua karo that Bhutto / Mariam combo doesn't come into power. They'll be the start of rolling back CPEC and bringing back Pakistan into western subservience. Which by the passing day is becoming more apparent that this is what the Establishment wants.

You have no idea about world politics or local politics. It’s a failure of our planners who are keep thinking that Uncle SAM is a reliable partner. Uncle SAM only care about his interest and nothing more. If and when they are out of Afghanistan, they won’t care about it just like last time.
We need to balance our relationship with world powers US and Russia.
Back in 2004 or 2005 when Musharraf visited Moscow, he should have improved relationship with Russia but he was under Uncle SAM magical spells. Alas! We waisted so much time....

WASHINGTON: Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke by phone with Pakistan’s top military leader, Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa, March 21, confirmed U.S Defense Department press release, Monday.
While giving out more details, the statement mentioned that Secretary Austin reinforced the United States’ commitment to maintaining a strong bilateral defense relationship with Pakistan and expressed gratitude for Islamabad’s continued support for the Afghan peace process. Secretary Austin noted that he looks forward to further cooperation between the United States and Pakistan in areas of common interest, it added.

To be honest, Pakistan military would be incredibly stupid to fall for this kind of stuff again. It's been rinsed and repeated so many times - not sure we can count how many times. I am not even sure why Pakistan military fell for the AH-1Z and T-129 engine. But you'd have to be a real special version of stupid to fall for this again.

Inevitably things looking like confrontation soon.

US is keen to challenge China in Indian Ocean as well as Pacific. For that it will need close cooperation with Indian Navy (even US will be stretched to cover the whole world), that can and will lead to some confrontation or at the very best stand offs with PN, especially if Chinese warships frequnetly use Gwdar, we can expect Indian, US, British subs to be snooping, this is probably what also pushed PN away from P-8 option and why we are keen to get rid of P-3Cs, despite having 6/7 of them. We will need non US tech now.

Of course no hard in keeping spares for F-16s going and if we can get any surplus ones then fine, but be prepared for at least if not hostile, than certainly not friendly conditions between PN and USN, I am surprised we are still within CTF-150 and CTF-151 in all honesty
