As part of the United States Central Command we represent the perspective of the United States military through our posts on various forums and in different languages across the globe. Our online presence is necessary to monitor, contest and if necessary correct any misinformation about the United States military. Propaganda against the United States has led many to believe in misinformation, conspiracies and baseless accusations that the United States is at war with Islam or is supporting unrest in the Afgh - Pak region. These allegations based as they are on self serving ideology are an unsuccessful attempt to confuse forum readers. We have a substantial population of Muslims in the United States that are an essential part of our society and country. We have Muslim nations, Pakistan being one among many, who share our interests in defeating extremism and eradicating terrorists. So as we greet our own Muslim citizens and residents in the U.S. we wanted to also wish Muslims around the world a happy and peaceful Ramadan.
