Type-99G and Type-96G in the national day parade

It's ironical that you praise communism while you live in a democratic country. I wonder if there is a single Chinese member here who lives inside China. :china:

I am at Dalian city in Liaoning Province ,and my home town is the rural area Jining city in Shandong Province~

well in fact China is not that bad as people thought
i know some countries tell people lies to slander China, such as Taiwan(i heard when Taiwan athletes came to mainland for Olympic games last time they were really astonished that China is not that,um,"ugly" as the Taiwan government told)

yeah we have social problems, corruption, injustice, poverty in some less developed areas, stuff like that, just like almost every country has,but China's is not terrific as i knew from some foreign countries

my viewpoint is--not really fantastic, not really democratic, but totally not too bad for us common people

and one thing more i wanna tell is about the minorities, the government treat them really nice,we never ever oppressed them, and their religions we respect, but sh*t happens, that's unacceptable, but even so,the government treat them even more carefully, well anyway we never ever edged em out for even once!

if you could you may come to China,to see it by yourself

The first picture is like the tank sayin " Who's The Boss?" , menacing!!:china::pakistan:

.
I have to laugh hard for the damn slow K1A1 tank. it features a 1200hp engine for such a ~55ton body and as the result, the cross country speed is only 40km/h. when compared to the 65km/h speed of the type-99, it is like asking for death. In general, we don't regard Korean toys as weapons as they NEVER fire any shot in real conflict. This forum is for serious discussion, please stop mentioning those korean toys.

Japanese Type-90 is of course far better than K1A1, but when compared to Type-99g, it is just another piece of toy. Please have a look at its operational range and then compare it to other major tanks, when you see such shitty spec like that, you really can't argue it to be the "best". :smokin:

btw: Type-96g/Type-99a/a1/g are to some extend linked to the T-72, not T-59.

there was a funny video comparing Type-90 with China's Type-96g and argue Type-90's stabilizer is cool. Type-96 is regarded as the second class MBT in PLA which is designed to be light so it can operate in the southern part of China. the most funny part is the video compares a Type-90 with a Type-96g with its stabilizer switched off.

:) :)

Haha. The LEO 2 and M1A2 both have a cross-country speed of 40-45 km/h and a road speed of 68-72km/h. And they weight 60-70 tons. The lighter Japanese Type 90 and South Korean has similar speeds.

The power to weight ratio of the ZTZ-99 is about the same as that of the LEO 2 and M1A2. And I don't see it having a substantially different/superior suspenstion (torsion bar), so there really is not reason why ZTZ-99 would be 20km/h faster in terrain than Leo 2 or M1. So I think the 65km/h quoted for this chinese machine is bogus.

Anyway, what counts more though in combat is accelleration, not so much top speed.

I think the Chinese technology is far superior to the toys being used by the Korean and Japanese.

As our chinese brother, elaborated, the operational span of the chinese tank is 600 km .... that is 100 km more, while the so call Korean and other tanks will be out of gas - the chinese tanks will still be operations.

From a technical stand point if the line of supply for oil is cut off for Indian tanks, (hypothetical scenario) the Indian tanks would be , out of gas , and sitting ducks while the Chinese tanks would be operational for another 1-2 days.

Its inevitable , that the chinese STRONG air force can cripple any fuel supply line for Indian tanks, and as such , the Chinese tanks would be able to move in with in 100 km into Indian territories easily and secure , vast amount of land.

While operating tanks , the amount of fuel , a tank can have and range it can travel is also very important.

And it clearly proves that chinese tanks are superior. No DOUBT ..

Also of the western tanks are also unproven, they normally go against 40-50 year old technologies in Iraq , and they claim it is the best piece of art.

I am sure a chinese tank can kill 20 Iraqi or Afghani dinasor tanks too.

Its all marketing westen tanks are overpriced so that more profits are made.

Ok so as per you these chines tanks are superior to other tanks.. so instead of just saying that its superior, kindly elaborate on the following points to prove their superiority:-

1) operational records( these tanks are just bieng inducted to chinese army)
2) combat records:- none
3) armour protection to various anti-tank projectiles and missiles:- no records to prove its armour capabilities..
4) fire power:- no records to prove its superior firepower

and if a tanks operational range is of such importance as you had mentioned in your post then i think every nation must simply increase the range of their tanks and nothing else..and in a combat scenario r u thinking that the Indian army wud be operating against the chinese without an aircover or mobile airdefence systems..each and every indian mobile strike corps are armed with tunguska's gun missile systems and polish loara anti-air artillery guns, shilka's and Israeli spyder sam...so fool yourself and be sensible..

(1) ZTZ99 is only developed for PLA, won't be exported , do you think USA will sale F22 to other country?
(2)combat records, no war, no export, of course also no public combat records. but I want to ask you:" Arjun and TANK-EX, have public combat records?" I heard India army won't use them, but government not allowed.
(3)armour protection capability, 1000~1200MM homogeneous steel plate on front face, this value was proved by live firing.
(4)chinese 85-3 tank' fire power alerady stronger than T80UD, this was proved by Pakistan in 1995. ZTZ99A2's armour piercing capability is about 980mm at 2000M distance.this value was proved by live firing.
(5) ZTZ99A2, about 58t, 1500hp engine.
(6) ZTZ99A2 have laser attack system, can attack feeler serach of enemy's tank

sir, please kindly discuss with others, this is manners.

Type-99G, 55tons, the best tank in Asia.

Type-96G, 42.8tons, similar to Pak's MBT2000.

According to a recent photo shown on the Internet, we have deployed large number of both these tanks in the indian border. I don't think their T-90 can ever stand a chance in front of Type-99G not to mention our latest Type-99A2 (which is actually VERY different from Type-99/A/G).

:china::pakistan:
like it!!!! it seems that its made out of legos... lolz

No offense but I feel that camoflague painting is a weak area of the chinese army
