Two more weeks of Lockdown boys

Which city do you live in ? i just barely managed to get a case of Budweiser with great difficulty.
Near Mudgaon.

Things were really bad here for a while but essential goods (food, pharmacy etc) shops are well stocked now, and the underground urak networks are holding fine. :enjoy:

At your age?

Isn't it far too early to need them?

Tu goenkar ?? Our ancestral home is in Aldona . Was there during Christmas . I miss Urak and eating the cashew fruit.

.
I am stocked up for about two months on dry rations as most of my staff is not coming so the food will last us a while .

Your staff ??

Vegetables seem to be getting tougher. I don't trust the multiple deliver to doorstep schemes man ...

Locally, as much as I understood, they are talking of complete lock down of "red-zone" localities and doing deliver-to-home of essentials. I don't know how they will manage for the vegetables.

In my locality the essential shops are open. Vegetable vendors do the rounds in the morning. One neighbor is selling fruits outside his house and is doing brisk business.

.
Simply too proud of the common man. The poor farmers. Not one guy is jacking up prices of veggies.

Potatoes 40 a kilo.

Tomatoes (baby Gauri cherry ones) 20 a kilo

Onions 3 kilos for 100 bucks

Baigan 40 a kilo

Lasun 40 fir 250 grams

Jai Hind bois. Jai Hind.
Kahey ka Jai Hind??!!! Kahey ka proud??!!!

:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

In my town oranges are being sold at 80-90 per kilo.

I was skeptical about the Urak but it has grown on me. Everyone's surviving on Urak here.

Considering that the lock down is necessary , it’s ok. No serious fall out except the absence of socialising.

On a personal level one thing that failed is the cordless headphones I got from Amazon to watch late night movies on Netflix , Prime & you tube. It does not connect with the Bluetooth of the TV

I am running low on Soda , maybe by the end of this lock out I will develop a taste for whiskey without soda.

Work from home means Zoom conferences at short notice & odd hours - got used to it

No crisis on the logistics front , things are available in plenty. Miss home delivery of Chicken tikkas , fish etc though

Have enough books to read plus those on Kindle too so it’s ok on the reading front

I had planned to learn how to cook but have been gated from the kitchen.

One ‘project’ I have in mind is to learn how to type using both hands & not having to look at the keys

If you are from mumbai it will be at least for more than a month.

This is where I used to live in Pune... Extremely sad view... These roads used to be full of ppls..

Pimpri Chinchwad was hit earliest and quite bad.

All major arteries into the city (Nagar, Solapur, Bangalore, Bombay) are barricaded with nakabandis.

All major flyovers are barricaded.

Major roads have xig zag barricades.

All petrol pumps are barricaded with police posted.

I can't see the poor anywhere. Some solitary guys I see walking or sleeping on the footpaths. I pray they are being cared for.

Dogs seem to be fed by and large. I don't see the feral packs o had predicted 2 weeks ago.
