Coincidence? Two men UK branded as 'suspects' in Skripal case wait for Britain’s apology

September 13, 14:51 UTC+3

The two men confirmed that Boshirov and Petrov were their real names

MOSCOW, September 13. /TASS/. The two Russians whom London claims are the alleged suspects involved in the Skripal case, Ruslan Boshirov and Alexander Petrov, have appeared on Russia’s RT news channel to deny all the charges and said that they are waiting for an apology from British authorities.

"I do hope that the affair will be finally resolved and the British side will eventually apologize for this commotion and will identify those really involved in the Skripal affair," Boshirov said.

"It was an incredible, fatal coincidence. That’s all," Petrov said.

"We are the ones whose photos were shown on TV. Ruslan Boshirov and Alexander Petrov are our real names," they said in the RT interview. They complained that following London’s allegations of their supposed involvement in the Skripal affair, the mass media kept them in the public eye so they feared for their security.

"When our lives turned into nightmare, we did not know what to do and where to go. To the police, the Investigative Committee or to the British Embassy," Petrov said.

"We cannot go out, we fear for ourselves, for our lives, and for the lives or our loved ones and the people who know us," Boshirov added.

Both said they would like "at least our media to leave us in peace."

On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin, while answering questions at the plenary meeting of the fourth Eastern Economic Forum said that the identities of both men London suspected of being invovled in the Skripal case were known to Russia’s authorities and that both were civilians.

On September 5, UK Prime Minister Theresa May briefed the British parliament on the progress of the investigation into the Salisbury incident, saying that two Russians were suspected of an attempt on the lives of the Skripals and that British intelligence suspected they were GRU agents. Scotland Yard published a series of photographs of the two men who, according to the investigation, were travelling around the country with passports issued in the names of Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov.

They should come to the UK and proove their innocence.

They don't need to prove anything. It's up to English regime to try to prove their guilt.
I don't think they should even consider going to England again because of human rights violations in England (like English regime persecuting Julian Assange).

I don't believe in coincidence, especially in politics. Is this possible those men are spies to scout around the location? Since the assassination was so sloppy and had many plotholes, this is more believable that the assassination was a setup by the British intellgence. Also I has a question why it takes so long for UK to release the indentity of the supects just before the battle of Idlib, the last stronghold of the rebel. But I remain a open mind for more convincing evidences.

Sergei Skripal was „poisoned” just weeks before presidential elections in Russia and now when Syria is preparing offensive to crush US founded terrorists in Idlib, English regime released 4 month old CCTV pictures of Boshirov and Petrov...

Russia had no motive to poison Sergei Skripal. He was in Russian prison and later he was released and send to England following spy swap. It makes no sense to release someone from prison and let him go to England only to later try to poison him.

England/US had motive to “poison” Sergei Skripal just weeks before presidential elections in Russia.

Russia had no means to “poison” Sergei Skripal (if we assume that he was really poisoned by Novichok agent). Russia destroyed all chemical weapons stockpiles before.

England/US had means to poison Sergei Skripal. US had access to Novichok agent (source). US did not destroyed it’s chemical weapons stockpiles

Russia had no opportunity to poison Sergei Skripal. English/US propaganda bullhorns claim that Russia is a “gas station masquerading as a country” (that’s what John McCain said) and that Russia is “isolated, with its economy in tatters” (that’s what Obama said). How can a “gas station masquerading as a country” outsmart English secret services and poison someone under their protection in England. Narrative of English/US propaganda bullhorns is full of contradictions.

So only English/US secret services had motive, means and opportunity to "poison" Sergei Skripal.

And last but not least English secret services killed Litvinenko:

According to French security expert Paul Barril:
“Russia has nothing to do with (the murder of Litvinenko). The case was fabricated from the beginning. Polonium was chosen as the poison because due to its production in Russia it would implicate Russia. The objective of the whole operation was to discredit president Putin and the FSB. It was done because Russia is blocking US interests around the world, especially in Syria. It was an attempt to weaken Putin’s hold on power, to destabilize Russia.”

I agree what you had written above and this is exactly the same reasoning why I believe the assassination was a setup by the British intellgence. More precisely I believe this was a fake assassination, that was mainly to antagonize Russia and self-explaining why those victims didn't die by the deadly posion. Only I don't believe in coincidence about those two men, since they could not really provide the convincing explaination why they showed up in those areas.

Look they are dirty Russians...Russia is a barbaric state...therefore she is guilty...why on earth would the civilised and democratic spreading egalitarian government of the UK lie (?)

the last time I checked Pakistanis queue up to emigrate to UK not to Russia. That speaks for itself

conspiracy theories running amok ...
Firstly due to the colonial link and language.
Secondly hardly any Pakistani emigrates to the UK for "democratic" values or "British Values". Rather they are economic migrants.
