The "valley" as you say it, is a "disputed territory" and the inhabitants do not want "THEIR LAND" to be part of india and have never considered themselves as indian. And since these "Indigenous and local inhabitants" have an oppressive occupation over them since the past generation, one cannot expect them to have any positive feeling about the oppressor.

You want a permanent solution to this? Resolve the Kashmir problem ACCORDING TO THE WISHES OF KASHMIRI PEOPLE. Nothing short of that will resolve the problem.
