Featured Twin IED blasts in SWTD, six including 1 officer, 2JCOs, 2NCOs Martyred

.
Every body is busy discussing PDM chors a civilian got killed by FC vs 20 soldiers getting martyred no one cares.

.
I dont see why MRAPs in hot areas shouldn't be used..

See deaths are occurring in just 3-4 areas even 100 MRAPs are enough

We Already have 200-300
AFGHANS HAVE BETTER MRAPS THAN PAKISTAN

WHAT A SHAME

MAY BE SOMEONE NEEDS TO TAG ALL THESE MILITARY AND POLTICIANS
afghans dont have MRAPs they have Humves and few APCs, which are blown to smithereens by even smallest IEDs. as i said 300 or 400 are not enough for a large Army like PA. Finances really are a problem. many dont want to understand this hence the sweaping statements like golf club DHA etc. no one want to do the maths. a single MRAP would cost 1.2 to 1.5 M dollars. to seize all kind of soft vehicle movmnt in troubled areas we would require thousands and thousands of these MRAPs. you think cutting benefits of officers and soldiers can finance that ? No it cant. it ll only lower the morale of troops.
every institution in Pakistan has its perks, judges, beuracrates, Police...all enjoy their housing societies, plots houses etc but only armed forces are singled out for this.

You are working hard to cover incompetency of top brass

No one is asking to give MRAPs and drones to whole army. From LOC to Karachi

We want only the troops operating in both waziristan's and Makran division in Balochistan to be given these equipment. Also change in tactics considering the threat level in these areas is what we need which is lacking till now. Soldiers are getting killed like sitting ducks since past many years and nothing has been changed in past few years to at least minimize that

The same old suzuki trucks that I used to see 5 or 6 years ago are still here. Same old soldiers getting attacked during patrols. Same old same old

i ve no intention of that and i dont know why u are so agitated by comments of those who dnt agree with you completely. i m no pacifist myself and i belive myself to be ultra hawkish.

i already said that for seizing all movmnts of soft vehicles in "troubled" areas we would require thousands of protected vehicles...i ll try to explain it further in a layman's term. lets say both waziristan and makran division and surroundings that makes almost 4 division worth of troops from both Army and FC. i.e Two infantry divisions in tribal districts and FC KP (South) and an infantry division in south Balochistan plus FC Balochistan (South). (i ve not even included FC KP North)

how many vehicles a normal infantry division operates ? hundreads...that includes TCVs (troops carrying vehicles) in which normally you can stuff 30 odd individuals and their luggage etc... we cant do that in MRAPs. so we would require two or three time more vehicles thn normal authorization.

plus whats the guarantee that even that will reduce casualities. more thn half casualities suffered this year in Waziristan are from border area of NW and SW, shaktoi garyom areas..where mostly foot patrols, BD parties or water fetching parties were ambushed with IEDs and small arms.

there is no doubt in effectiveness of MRAPs in modern warfare specially in COIN ops but that i think are the passive and protective measures.. what we really lack are active measures... as a nation we have never been pro active... i agree with your concerns regarding PTM and other ethno fascist groups. they need to be reign in asp.

you are seeing 300 arent enough for Waziristan and some parts of balochistan..???

you are using IFs and buts...
casualties are happening just in two -three regions patrolled by 50-200 convoys AT best

HUMVees are still better to SMALL ARMS & shrapnel from RPGs..both of which kills alot of pakistani FC troops ..it will help something..i guess we should ask afghans for help

whats wrong with using ifs and buts to correctly analyze something... casualities are not happening in a small region,,,those "2,3" areas are of size of Syria in balochistan and of size of lebonan in waziristan. troops involved are almost a hundread thousand.

what interest i ve in kidding with you ??? i m merely discussing a point. u dont agree.. fine. i still believe and know it for fact that its a vast area.
in 15 years ...yes they can. but in 15 years alot of stuff has been procured. the face of the army has been changed.

Dear, I don't want to interfere with your discussion here.... Just want to point out that @Ghost 125 has vast experience serving in such areas.... :p:

You need to read between his lines, there are things which @Ghost 125 clearly knows but he won't do it due to some reasons. Do please try to understand that.
