You know the usual payload. This beauty will have ESEN’s Wide Area Surveillance System on it . (WASS) can image an area, as big as a city center (approx. 20 km2) at once, at vehicle tracking mode Its current congif 18000 feet and 95 kg inc. electronics.

I see some changes in the design if we compare it to the first conceptual design. Everything (the fuselage, engine pods) are suspended under the wing contrary to the design below. There is something very strange that connects the fuselage and the wing. it cant be seen very well from the given image above, but to me it looks weird. Also the horizontal stabilizer is different.

Nevertheless, i want to congratulate Tusas and everyone working for this beauty to come true. They were really fast. They are getting more experienced every passing day.

Translation from TRT Arabic

Qatar will soon receive six unmanned Turkish drone aircraft in a deal signed in 2018. Turkish aircraft are able to fly in the air for" 25 hours "without interruption and carry "100 kg " payload.

The maturation of CATs is still going on. it seems it will be fully operational by the end of 2019.
I have something to say about this issue which I wanted to say for a long time.

Those optical systems have some very complicated electronics, optics, electromotors for optics etc... That is a pretty sophisticated thing. So many things said for CATS but it really takes a lot of time. Remember we do not have a major civillian industry for electroptics to give raise to engineers and scientists in time. Starting from scratch while training new people in an industry and producing military grade products(really high reliability needs) is a hell for any company anywhere in the world.

We need to be patient. Their job is really hard and we have to remember that while comparing them to 50 year old tech firms as always done at this forum.

Same thing goes with TAI. They are the first one that started a serious UAV project. ANKA had problems at the past and project had many problems. Today we can see that they are doing very good job with ANKA. I hope we will see new variants of ANKA 2 in the near future.

My personal thoughts;

Anka II will serve mostly in Indonesian army . Maybe limited numbers in Turkish army ,
I have conflicting info regarding Ukranian UAV. Maybe its Baykar not TAI

Maybe TAI pulls up a rabbit from its hat and comes up with ts1400 powered surprise new UAV. Maybe they dont even call it Anka anymore Who knows :)
