Police?
These guys are the President Guard...

You can't compare them with Police Special Forces GSG9 (Germany) and CTSFO (UK)?

Camouflage in Turkey is always a hit and a miss. Gendarmerie's new camo is great, but the recent woodland type camo that will be implemented (hopefully not) is hideous and it is a step backwards. New camo's should be digital type pattern, like our army currently has (if it ain't broke, don't fix it imo).

Police forces just have ugly camo in general, I personally never liked POH's A-Tacs camo (pictured at the bottom of the quote). While the presidential guard camo is a step up for being digital, the colors are too dark. They should go for something more in the lines of Marpat urban or something.

I don't think that everyone gets the Woodland camoflage... for troops who operates mostly in woods it is great.

A total of 40 teams representing 25 countries are taking part in the competition which is held from April 30 until May 7.

Teams of elite special forces, military and law enforcement units from all over the world usually take part and compete in the Annual Warrior Competition's decennial.

Two teams from Chinese People's Armed Police Forces participated in this year's competition as well, comprising 20 members.

Countries taking part in the event also include Lebanon, the UAE, Sudan, US, Qatar, Kazakhstan, India, Oman, Kenya, Greece, Sweden, Turkey, Austria, Ukraine, Portugal, among others.

The Turkish team from JOAK is in Jordan for the participation in the 10th Annual Warrior Competition at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC) in Jordan. The last time our performance was not satisfying because the guys didn't have time for training and we still did a good job. Now lets hope we show high performance as expected.

Like last time JOAK attended I will have full access again this year to the results of both the overall rankings and each individual stage of every team taking part.

I have to point out however that JOAK did not do so well last time. Many social media sites reported that they came 7th etc overall but the true ranking was 19th I believe. Regardless of how much time they had to train or not for the competition - JOAK is a unit which is on constant readiness. This means the level of training should always be maintained regardless of whether a competition was due or not. Overall the unit was not happy with the result and it was quite embarrassing for some of the members to return with such a poor result as it pointed out that the unit was not maintaining the level of combat readiness and fitness that they should be.

There was talks of changes to be implemented as a result - Which is was great to hear that there was a reaction to the result and our lads were going to receive better training - I guess we will see.

Lets hope they do better this year !!
