Maybe since Turkey is expanding into the horn of Africa. Horn of Africa gives Turkey access to the Indian ocean

Nope; our scientists and engineers are capable of building reactors for every kind of requirement. (Actually it is not that hard) This is not the case. Probably we do not need an incredibly expensive nuclear submarine. Plus; what are you gioing to do with it? Where do you need it? I think this is the reason why we do not have them.

Building the submarine is harder than the reactor itself.

We don't have ocean, so no need for. But we are working for AIP with a new technology, the project is not started but when they finish Oruc Reis class submarine they will start the project. After Reis class we will begin with Milden, after 2023 i think.

Yes; I am. Nuclear reactors are overrated. They were high tech 50 years ago but today it is pretty simple because most problems are experienced and solved. There is a plus side. Building a giant nuclear reactor for power plants is much more complicated than reactors in submarines. Because you have to consider much bigger system with integration of labs and production lines for different purposes. (Yes; they are labs and production facilities for dozens of industries) Submarine systems are less complicated because you have only one purpose.

We have scientists who are really good at reactor knowlage since 70s. Just Özemre's students are enough to build a team.
