Studies on the ATMACA anti-ship missiles, the Navy Research Center Command Command (ARMERKOM) as a result of the long work started after the signing of the contract with ROKETSAN in 2009.

ATAMER of competitors who will be one of the world's most advanced anti-ship missiles have better features than the Exocet and Harpoon missiles.

The hawk is a very critical year for the Navy is expected to take until the end of the inventory of TAF.
The pic in post 1 shows the US LRASM, which is the slated Harpoon follow-on, possibly together with Kongsberg Naval Strike Missile.

Besides:
Boeing is also trying to sell the US Navy an upgraded anti-ship and land attack weapon designed to double the range of the service’s existing Harpoon. The Harpoon Next-Generation is a sea-skimming land, submarine, air or surface- launched missile guided by GPS and inertial navigation systems to destroy a wide range of targets such as enemy ships, small boats and land targets.
The Harpoon Next-Gen adds the prospect of improved guidance technology, a new engine and new warhead to the existing 15-foot long Navy Block II Harpoon through the use of an upgrade kit or new build effort. The technology changes the range of the weapon from 67 miles out to 134 nautical miles, said James Brooks, a Boeing director.

“Fundamentally it is adding more fuel to the weapon and going to a more fuel efficient engine. We are moving towards an alternate warhead. We’re looking at a couple of different warheads, including a 300-pound warhead that is smaller than the current warhead but still very effective,” Brooks added.

The new 300-pound class warhead, which is still being examined and refined by Boeing weapons developers, is optimized for anti-ship attacks, Brooks added. The new, smaller warhead will replace the existing 500-pound warhead on the current Navy Block II Harpoon.

Brooks described the new Harpoon Next-Gen engine as a more fuel-efficient off-the-shelf engine with electronic fuel controls.

This extended range can be provided in a kit for an existing inventory of missiles. It can also be provided as a new-build procurement.

And also
, the MM40 Block 3. It has an improved range—in excess of 180 kilometres (97 nautical miles)—through the use of a turbojet engine, and includes four air intakes to provide a continuous airflow to the power plant during high-G manoeuvers. The Block 3 missile accepts GPS guidance system waypoint commands, which allow it to attack naval targets from different angles and to strike land targets, giving it a marginal role as a land-attack missile. The Block 3 Exocet is lighter than the previous MM40 Block 2 Exocet

This member is a dishonour when it comes to talk about such matters in those sections so i advice you not to care much about his claims.

Atmaca project aims to develop a subsonic anti-ship missile which is going to replace Harpoon and Exocet missiles in inventory. It has a range around 250km and will be used as standart missile system of Navy. It is expected to enter into inventory in 2018. A related link project called "Kement" is going to guide/update and even loitering capabilities ( for cruise missiles) to the missile until it reachs the goal. All those national concepts additions to specific striking abilities designed for purely Turkish Navy needs make this project special and strategic in our country.

There is an other Naval missile project called "Gezgin" which is going to provide Land attack striking capability to Naval assets including submarines. Gezgin subsonic missiles powered by turbojet engines are planned to have a range around 1000km.

Other naval missile which is under development phase is the one called Mizrak-D designed to integrate Naval SeaHawk helicopters. It has a plannes range around 16km. Mizrak-D block 2 variant is planned to replace Penguin missiles having a range around 30km.

We expect to see mockups in Idef-2017 defence fair.

Remarks :

Atmaca was planed since 2008 from ARMERKOM of Turkish Navy and 2010 SSM signed a contract for development worth 80 MIO EURO with Turkish Roketsan and Aselsan for missiles development.

Newly developed anti-ship missile dubbed "ATMACA" was first tested at Denel's Overberg test range in May 2014.

Turkish Muhammed Metin wrote that it will have 190 + km range !

Atmaca is being already tested at least since 2015 , source :

" Brazil’s Avibras-led Mansup could enter production by 2018 and Turkey’s Aselsan is testing the Atmaca."

My news were quoted from following link ,

" Atmaca will be more advanced than Harpoon and Exocet,
possibly globally the best in his class "!
