There was definietly a Sudanese pivot from Iran to Saudi, in exchange Bashir hoped for rehabilitation of the regime on international stage; removing from US list of states who sponsor terrorism and sanctions that go with it. Saudis promised it and lobbied Washington for years, US agreed to start talks in 2018. So proces was underway ... funny enough that opened a door for Turkey to engage with Sudan and not to be scorned by US and others for doing so, cause hey from 2015 they are good guys (triviality of geopolitics)
guys who ousted Bashir are familiar actors to Turkey.. t I dont think they intend to take sides in gulf crisis and become indebted to anyone particular. They have real concernes in regards to Egypt and want to have options in dealing with that issue, giving island to Turkey and cooperation with Ethiopia was one effective way of dettering any Egyptian agression... It was calculated move, not done on a Bashirs whim and probably discussed with the military itself. so I dont think that throwing money on them will work, Saudis and Emirates cant really garantee anything regarding this issue. But US could... and Israel has interest in seeing a frandly regime there. So.. we will see.
protestors seem adamant on civilian transional oversight, not really in love with the military. Bashir himself was a military man, so for them its kinda a russian doll effect... one general for another.
