We are talking about that truck, normally you heat the engine block up to make the oil liquid again, if you heat the fuel tank there is a good chance that your gonna kill yourself.Diesel gets not frozen but flaky from -23 C, cause it takes up to 8% humidity from the environment. Remember German tanks in Russian winter. Modern cars have heated diesel filters at their tanks. But in Endonesia you have not this temperatures.

I didnt say freeze, it gets too thick in minus temparatures, also the modern oils like 5W-30 can do their job well in -20 but not the oil they have put in this ancient truck thats for sure, also assume that the last oil change is mostly long time ago in those old trucks.Oil has no freeze point, it has a pourpoint if the parrafin was not raffined well it is -15 C, if parrafin was well eliminated modern oils can lubricate up to -40 C.
Assume our truckers use sometimes "taxfree" bad quality diesel.
