TF-X Turkish Fighter & Trainer Aircraft Projects

What do you think, how many aeronautical engineers do you need?
Be sure that the goverment plans everything about T/F-X. If they need 10000 (....) engineers, the goverment get after 5-6 years... Turkey has 75 million people and every year 1 million (about) student graduate...

Does it matter having billions of aeronautical engineers to design and built a new generation fighter aircraft if you don't have enough know-how, technologic background, design capability, experience etc...

Quality or Quantity?

Quantity and quality is not the same thing.

Quantity and quality is not the same thing.
I didnt say that they are same... You asked "maybe most sophisticated project which needs ~thousand engineers. Where will you get them?" and I answered you how can we get. Turkey has good technical universties and engineers.
Aeronautical engineering education started at 1943 in Turkey. And we are getting new engineers every year. Are they qualty or not? Nobody can say yes or no. We select the best engineers from our pool and get develop them.

You can move forward with qualified engineers but you need some genious engineers for breakthroughs

for genious breaktroughs you need political will..

you can do many things if you want to just give ppl the opportunity to do it.. if they have the chance and financial support than you will get things..

if you say ohhh thats to much that thing can never fly.. this is science fiction.. this is worthless.. than you will get nothing

take the nazis as an excample.. they tried even to build a ufo.. even if this is not to fly.. they had other projects like jet or rocket powered engines.. but they tried everything..

It is like the football. It is simple but also hard to play simple :)
The head of MKE just busted while trying to sell some engineering to foreigners just months ago.
Critical people in army tried to work for an outher power just days ago.
Some politicians that everyone know still working for that power.

Some key points / facts in the TFX development:

- Development Budget: $8.6 bln (KFX budget = $15.2bln)
- Mentor / assisting company: BAE systems
- Lead engineer TFX design team: Christopher CLARKSON (was also lead engineer of the BAE FCAS concept)
- Development till 2025
- First entry into inventory planned in 2025
- Replacing of F16's by TFX from 2030 on

S&H confirms that the chief engineer of the TFX design team is Christopher Clarkson (was also the chief engineer in the British FCAS (Future Combat Aircraft) design)

I think the perspective of the picture is unsuitable.

It is extremely serious. It is the project ‘Replica’. :smart:

« What is known is that the GBP 20 million programme, codenamed 'Replica' was jointly funded by BAE SYSTEMS and the Ministry of Defence via the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA).

The project was initiated in 1994 and completed what is described as a rigorous test programme in 1999. The full scale model was intended to demonstrate the UK's capability to design and build an affordable, low observable [stealth] aircraft with good survivability for future Royal Air Force and Royal Navy requirements

Replica was never intended to be as difficult to detect as the exotic and highly expensive pure stealth aircraft such as the American F-117a and B-2. However, UK stealth specialists are said to have achieved their goal of striking a balance between low observability and cost. They have also sent out a strong message regarding British expertise. »
