if we just focus on turkey for tactical weapons procurement and joint ventures we don't need any other western country's help for counter insurgency related weapons... Their MRAPS, security protection vehicles, missiles, drones and gunships are seems to be very state of the art and world class. I am not sure why we are not buying more from Turkish brothers

Domestic engine will replace German equivalent used in Anka drones at present. The advantages of domestic egine is as following;

-Generating 20hp more power
Turkish engine: 170hp
German engine: 150hp

-Power/Weight ratio is better than German equivalent
Turkish engine:170hp/170kg
German engine:150hp/165kg

-Less fuel consumable than German equivalent
Turkish engine fuel consump: max 210 gr/kWh
German engine fuel consump: max 215 gr/kWh

-Critical altitude for power
German engine: 11500ft
Turkish engine: 20000ft

In 2018 When Anka-S passed into serial production phase. It is in prototype production and test phase.
Anka-S also performs trials at present.

There are lots of Turkish defence products in prototype/testing phase--hopefully, all of them successfully enters the service and gets deployed in large numbers--giving Turkish military modern and effective weapon platforms second to none, Inshallah!
