The first big step was producing all platforms by ourselves... Now, 2nd big step is increasing indigenous critical parts on these platforms... So engines are one of the most important critical parts...

SSM, Murat Bayar: In near future, TEI will be an institue which design-develop the engines of domestic UAV's, Helicopters and Trainer aircrafts...

Now a days, TEI is working on a turbo-jet engine for ATMACA anti-shipping missiles and a turbo-prop for ANKA MALE UAV. Trials of ANKA engine will start in 2011.

It is understood with above statements of Murat Bayar that A new Turbo-prop engine Development for Hurkus trainer's have also been started.

"We will do this and that"....for fvcks sake, make a running engine first, before talking about %100 indigineous rate.
