An aerobatics team from Turkey will perform at the International Military-Technical Forum Army-2017.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — An aerobatics team from Turkey will perform at the International Military-Technical Forum Army-2017 that will take place in Patriot Park (Moscow region) on August 22-27, Alexander Mironov, The chief of the Russian Defense Ministry's directorate for scientific research, said Thursday.
"Aircraft will be demonstrated at the Kubinka airfield. On the opening day of the forum, an aviation festival in honor of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Russian air force will take place. An aerobatic team from the Republic of Turkey will participate in the performance for the first time," Mironov said at the meeting of the forum organizing committee.
Besides, 255 pieces of modern and prospective weaponry and military equipment will be demonstrated at the Alabino training ground, including 213 pieces from the Russian Defense Ministry, 34 pieces from industrial enterprises and organizations and 8 pieces from military robotics.
According to Mironov, national expositions will be presented by seven countries, namely, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Slovakia and South Africa.
On August 22-27, Russia will hold the Army-2017 forum to showcase its high-tech military innovations and achievements. The event is expected to gather a great number of officials and military experts from dozens of countries. The forum will use several venues, including the military-themed Patriot Congress and Exhibition Center, Kubinka airfield and Alabino training ground in the Moscow region.
