If you say 'help Palestinensians' whom do you mean? Hezbollah (Shiite) is clear. If you say 'Syrians and Iraqis', whom do you mean? Assad (Alawi/Shiite) or the Iraqi majority (Shiite)?

We definitely can't when we look at the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. It's too risky staying out of Afghanistan. Can't let another radical nationalist who wants to take a big bite out of Pakistan come into power.
I've also noticed how everyone seems to forget how troublesome they were to Pakistan for the first few decades after partition.
