You didn't understand the point I try to make. I know there is no West-Kurdistan, just as there is no South Azerbaijan.

When people talk about west-kurdistan they talk about Syria.
You were suppose to say North-kurdistan to refer to Turkey.

It is the mutual benefits among countries which is important. It is not necessary to have impressive brotherhood relations with each neighbours As long as We rule own technology, industry. Economical reasons tie the countries between eachothers and The countries which keep technology and industry in their hands, are indispensable for dependant countries. Cutting the trade for dependant countries may cause a disaster for them. They know it so They have to develop soft foreign policies and It is known that Being enemy of Turkey would bring many headache rearding stregnth ballance as well.

Georgia is pretty friendly, so is the Kurdish Regional Government.

1 in 3 goods in Armenia is allegedly Turkish and the Armenians would have no problem to open the gates any second. Not exactly a friendly country but still there is some dependency.

Greece was never so friendly to us like it is today for obvious reasons (their crisis AND our growing economy). Same goes for Bulgaria.

There is also dependency between Iran and Turkey, just think of the gold for oil trade or all those Iranian companies that have been set up in Turkey.

For Syria: if Assad stays unfriendly, if he's gone: friendly.

Even freaking Greek Cyprus will soon be dependend on Turkish water and electricity that will flow from our mainland to Turkish Cyprus.


So while we're not necessarily friendly with all our neighbours, we still have some mutual interest with any of them. A Turkey with different neighbours would kick-***.

I think Armenia will always be hostile. The only reason they won't do anything currently is because they have no power. So I guess Bulgaria too is unfriendly? Does that have anything to do with the Turkish minority in Bulgaria?

Assad is currently in charge of Syria and since none of us have a magic ball which can predict the future, we can't say what will happen. For all you know terrorists can take over Syria and turn it into launching pad for attacks on Turkey.

Iran and Turkey is exactly as you said, mutual dependency laced with mistrust.

I personally believe Turkey shouldn't cosy up so much to KRG. It is pretty short sighted. As in the long run the KRG will be an example to all Kurds in the region and can affect Turkey very negatively.

I would say that most Turks are cautious when it comes to Bulgaria, because of the treatment of Turks during the Soviet occupation. There are no problems with the Turks in Bulgaria right now and as far as I can tell business is booming too. So I would not count Bulgaria as a unfriendly country.

No one can predict Syria, but no matter what might comes after Assad it can hardly be any worse then whatever we have right know.

I dont know what they are planning with the KRG, I dont understand it. It gets us cheap oil and we're generating a lot of income over there thats all I know.

A booming economy will inevitably improve our ties with our neighbours, because everyone wants to benefit from it.

For Iran, one can only hope that you folks one day decide to turn secular and democratic, but as long as you stay as you are our ties will not improve.

Sometimes people tend to use psychological warfare tactics and that's why I came to say that Turkey is a great friend and an ally of ours.
