There is no proof of NATO's involvement in this mess either.

Erdogan had some enemies in Turkey and they acted on their own accord. Coup failed because Turkish military leadership was not behind it. Otherwise, it would have been much better organized and much greater firepower would have been brought to bear.

He would have made those lists over time in past. How can some one do a stupid mistake like staging a coup basically giving the opponent a chance to do an ACTUAL coup in return, not forgetting the past Turkish history of coups.

The thing is a failed Turkish coup doesnt sit well with the NATO designs and any excuse would do to cover up the mess.

This failed coup was a revolution in true sense and it never got its true air time around the world. Erdogan may have taken advantage of it to get rid of the opponents but thats what politics is. Instead of painting the situation a traditionalist vs kemalist secular he saved Turkeys image around the world by putting everything on a figurehead Gulen. Another well played political shot that needs applause.
