@Bordo and Ozturk even if we get Aster series with technology transfer it will still take us decades to develop an air-defence system that can meet Turkish Armed Forces' requirements catch up with THAAD and S400 systems of the coming decades.

If we are to pay six billion dollars for air defence frigates we need those ships to preform at an optimum performance. Air threats are rising, we are to face Israel and Greece over Cyprus and petrol reserves of Agean and Mediterranean.

We simply don't have the luxury to turn this project into a test-bed for future SAM development
