FAC55 is a vessel designed to perform sea warfare and patrol duties on the open seas, under heavy sea and weather conditions, equipped with gas türbine propulsion system, conforming naval norms/standards and classification rules.

With its capabilities, the FAC-55’s innovative design, goes one step further than similar platforms in the World, especially with its superior surface warfare effectiveness.

Reaching speeds beyond 55 knots on the sea, the displacement weight of this new type of fast attack craft is approximately 535 tonnes.

What I really want to know the missiles carried on these ships. How much range of these missiles can be increased. Can they be taken to 800 KM or not ?

the problem is not the new weapons but mismanagement of the country, actually turkey is not manage by a government but a psycho man who is sick and suffer a couple of serious illness.

it is possible with KALE 3200 engine, if you decrease the warhead weight and increase fuel , that engine can stand 4+ hours lifetime without problem.

looks absolutely stunning

these projects pave the way for bigger ticket items the like Ada Class export to both Pakistan and Ukraine

I agree there.

Although it will be a rather speculative comment, I can say that the GEZGİN missile is quite large for these bots. There is not even the slightest information about the integration of these missiles into FAC-55 bots. The GEZGIN missile family will primarily be the main land strike weapon of the TF-2000 destroyers. Deep attack and engagement to deep land targets are not among the requirements of the TTHB/Turkish type attack boat project.

The announced configuration of these bots includes ATMACA SLCM. On the aft deck, also there will be 1 RAM for low altitude/point defense. Against the possibility of the US embargo, there is a domestic project on this issue and it was introduced at IDEF-21. Apart from this, there is an ongoing medium-range anti-ship cruise missile project, which we can call the miniature version of the ATMACA product family, and I think it can be integrated into this ship if needed. In addition, the YALMAN universal missile turret, of which ROKETSAN has developed a variant for naval systems, is aimed to be used in some patrol boats. If desired, this system can also be integrated. The system can carry TEMREN (Naval UMTAS) and CİRİT guided rocket pods.

***Atmaca is basically a kind of ship launched cruise missile with a range of less than 300 km and a warhead of less than 500 kg (guess why), capable of updating missions via data link, high subsonic and super sea-skimming capability. The angagement range of the first generation ATMACA missiles, which are now entering the inventory, has been declared as 220+ km with 220kg warhead.

These boats are mainly developed for missile strikes against surface platforms as part of network-based combat environment. The main criterion in design is not total firepower; It is required to maintain its full operational status up to 60knt maximum speed and/or 5 sea state conditions.

The TTHB project has a story that has been postponed due to impossibilities and has a history of almost 10/15 years. In the last 5-6 years, the project is aimed not only to meet the urgent needs of the navy, but also to have many special abilities in its own class by gaining the quality of a technological demonstration of the Turkish shipbuilding industry capability. In short, with the realization of these/these type projects, the wear of the high-tonnage ships of the Turkish navy in the 2030s will be significantly reduced, or these platforms will be able to focus on protecting interests in more distant seas.

With the gradual commissioning of these boats after 2025 (6 definite and 4 options), DOGAN class boats with an average age of 40+ years, and Rüzgar class boats at 35+ years old will be taken out of service in turn. There will not be an increase in the number of platforms, as some claim.
