Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Turkey-based company will participate in the project on modernization of the Azerbaijani Navy, military sources told APA.
At the request of Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry in December last year, representatives of a Turkish company visited Baku under the instructions of the Turkish Undersecretariat for Defense Industries. At the meeting held in the headquarters of the Azerbaijani Navy the Turkish company gave information about the current projects. The sides discussed the establishment of ship-building yard in Azerbaijan and production of different types of amphibious vehicles (surface and underwater, as well as small size high-speed powerboats).
The Turkish company will hold one more presentation for Azerbaijani defense structures. Priorities for marine cooperation will be determined at the upcoming meetings in Baku on March 11-12 with the participation of representatives of the Turkish Undersecretariat for Defense Industries.
