There is no ''AK2''
Two prototypes were produced back in 2012, no further focus was given to them.........
AK 2 is being developed with help of Turkey as for T-129 I think we would soon hear about it but I am interested in seeing Istanbul and TF-2000 class Frigates coming for Pakistan Navy.

. . . .
Well, if a small air force like Nigeria can order ten, then obviously Turkey would require many more, any ways lets see what transpires.
Turkey donated much advance trainers to Pakistan few months back why they need large number of basic trainer aircraft from Pakistan?

Those were T-37 Primary jet trainers, the Super Mashak is for basic flying.
Anyways, the info i managed to obtain is that, Turkey is currently evaluating four different types , Super Mashak being one of them, the requirement is for 52 aircraft.

Altay is not a requirement right now. AT best we may seen strong Turkish influence in our future MBT but that is it. No variant of Altay will be joining us, sub-systems yes! Frankly, this is much better as well.

Why you want that Turkish future jet sanctioned because of Pakistan and for sure we will get once they developed it or at least the tech.
First of all welcome to the forum Mate....Hope we continue our discussions in decent manners.

Coming towards topic TFX.....
We all know that Turkey is the largest importer of arms from America and most of people think their jets will be sanctioned if Pakistan makes a JV.
If Pakistan joins this project the things will automatically revert. To some extent Chinese technology can also be used... Pakistan itself is producing State of the Art Thunder....There will be a complete European and Asian system......
Need of America; probably not....So why they get sanctioned..!!

ISLAMABAD: The Republic of Turkey has finalised a deal with Pakistan to buy Super Mushak trainers, said a defence production ministry spokesperson.

“The deal is in the last stages of finalisation and is going to be signed very soon,” said Durya Amir, from the ministry of defence production.

Two other defence deals between the two nations are also in the final stages, added the spokesperson.

Development of a fleet tanker for the Pakistan Navy in collaboration with Turkey has also been finalised.

“Launching ceremony of the fleet tanker for the Pakistan Navy is planned for August 2016. The ceremony would be attended dignitaries from both countries,” elaborated the spokesperson.

In a separate deal, an MOU has been signed for the mid-life upgrade of Agosta 90-B submarines of the Pakistan Navy. The upgrades would be undertaken by the Turkish firm STM.

The latest defence contracts between the two countries will further enhance the existing defence ties.

It is not known how many aircraft Turkey would be buying.

The Super Mushshak is an advanced variant of the Mushshak basic trainer, and is produced at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC).

The aircraft is already in service with Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iran and South Africa. Nigeria bought the aircraft in early 2016 and Qatar bought the trainers in June this year.

Basic flight training is provided on the aircraft for aspiring pilots.

Super Mushshak aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force was also put up for static as well as aerial display in the Dubai Air Show last year, with certain nations expressing interest in the aircraft.

The aircraft has a service ceiling of 22,000 feet, and a maximum speed of 268km/h. Range of the aircraft is reported at 814 kilometres.
