TEHRAN- First Iranian built catamaran sailboat was delivered to Turkey, IRNA reported on Thursday.

Building this sailboat, Iran jointed the world’s builders of catamaran (informally a ‘cat’), a multi-hulled watercraft featuring two parallel hulls of equal size.

Sailing catamarans have been noted for incorporating technological advances over traditional monohull craft. These include foils that lift racing catamarans out of the water, capacious and stable cruising vessels, and racers that have achieved average speeds on the open ocean, comparable to much larger vessels.

It seems Iran's ship building industry is advancing quite fast!

Turkey and Iran should try to work together for a better future for both nations. More trade, more development, more tourism between countries. Iran and Turkey have a lot in common, even historically and culturally despite the rivalries in the past and they should try to put their differences aside because that way both countries can prosper and achieve more.

If France and Germany managed to realize that working together is the better choice instead of fighting, then so can Turkey and Iran. Wish more people on both sides understand that, and mostly the politicians in Tehran and Ankara.

ps It's quite impressive to see things Iran managed to achieve even though it's a bit isolated from the world community and the sanctions on it's economy. Of course the country has it's problems too but every country does.

We have not fought each other for a very very long time. Regional competition is another story.

I agree with you. Tbh with you(and some members here will jump on me for saying this),but i think things started getting worse between both of them when Turkey entered the regional "power game" more forcefully, be it Iraq and bashiqa or the syrian conflict. Iran was and is already involved in a serious Persian-Arab or Shiite-Sunni ME issue, and has been used to it, but recently Turkey decided to enter it(with its own ideology, alliances, objectives)strongly and tahts when Iran-turkey relationship worsened. But both are civil, practical states so luckily they havent allowed it get that bad. Turkey needs that Iranian energy and Iran obviousy doesnt want those dollars to stop coming in.
