Thanks for pointing that out , but what about the social consideration. its takes a generation to motivate people to donate , what is the grassroots level work Pakistan is doing ?
In India we did the first renal transplant in 1986 , and almost after 30 years it taken up as a primary discipline in almost all hospitals , it took ages to even frame the laws and streamline the system.

There are lots of hands on courses for transplant medicine all over the world. Why dont your vascular and hepatobiliary specialists go there, train themselves and come back to do surgeries there?

SIUT Karachi, has the liver transplantation facility available for free...it is mostly about lack of knowledge about existing facilities in Pakistan, also there are quite a few cartel like mafia involved who recommend overseas doctors and hospitals...medical tourism is encouraged.

Equipment, medicine and related medical facilities are suffering from high duties from govt. Manufacturer is not interested. So overall, govt and people are not interested in developing our own country.
