What's new

Turkey has reportedly struck a massive oil and gas agreement with Kurdistan

There may well be undiscovered oil under the Black Sea on the magnitude of oil in the Norwegian Sea. Is Turkiye exploring for oil in Black Sea?

.
The Sunni Arabs , Turkmens and Kurds in Iraq are allied with Turkey while Shia Arabs are with Iran .

No, Iran has extremelly close ties to Iraqi-Kurdistan:

Niqash - politics - overly friendly neighbours: iran?s influence in iraqi kurdistan

Only Barzani and his KDP are close to Turkey, but Talabani and his PUK are allies of Iran.

Iran will always have a extremly close alliance with Iraqi-Kurdistan!!!

And of course also with the Shias!!!

If Iraq would have ceased to exist it would have happened at the peak of the civil war between 2006 and 2008.

This is just again the same bullshit as always written by some kids that think they are the commander of the turkish army here on this forum we got a kemalist saying "lets bomb iraq and the PKK back to ****" LOL.
You are welcome if you want to invade, the truth is we cant stop you thats right, but what are you planning on doing when you are finished ? cause there will be heavy resistance the US got in major financial trouble because of it.
I doubt you have the same capacity as the US to deal with all that.

Lets not forget superpowers won't stand by like that, Iraq has tried something like this in 1990 and you saw what superpowers did.

.
As for the KRG part.

KRG relies, lives and pays their peshmerga from the Iraqi GDP share 17-23% from Baghdad.
Iraq has already cut this down recently for their behaviour, if Baghdad decides to cut it all down they are finished .

Clearly shows the same reaction of Barzani : "Massoud Barzani says any move to cut funding to the region in a dispute over oil sales would be a "declaration of war"
Kurd leader warns against budget cuts by Iraq - Middle East - Al Jazeera English

But Iraq has a stronger military, so there is little he can do.

.
Can a provincial regional gov struck independent deals concerning natural resources without consent of the fed Gov? This shows that US has sowed seeds of separatism through a fragile federal structure in Iraq.

Anyway good for turkey. Turkey needs to diversify its energy import sources.

Iran has been further Isolated now , No one sane would want to attach himself with a country like Iran . As for the KRG most of their trade and contact with the outside world happens through Turkey not Iran so its understandable why they are ignoring an already Isolated and despised country like Iran .

After Assad falls completely which is already underway Iran will have zero influence in the middle east , this is why out of depression Iran is trying to forge new alliance with country like " Sudan " LOL .

I think its time for Iranians to revolt against their own fucked up government if they want to be accepted in this world . While millions of Iranians are suffering and dying from hunger and poverty their radical government is wasting billions of dollars on failed regimes like Bachar al assad .

IT is time for Iran to start investing in its own people before a hunger revolution will spread through out the country more brutal than the 2009 events. I know its only fear that keeps Iranians from revolting but there is a certain limit the average Iranian will no longer tolerate.

Many of the Iranians living here in Dubai despise and hate their government and cant wait to get rid of it . I know many here who regret overthrowing the Shah for this current corrupted mullah regime .

I am not fan of Saudi Arabia either but the worst country in the middle east is Iran with no competitor for sure , Just do a survey and you will see the answer especially among the Iranians themselves , it explains why they escape on boats to far places like Australia .
