Acc to new official brochure, Previously selected F404-GE-102 (17000lbf) US engine replaced with a more powerful unknown engine which has a thrust of 19200lbf. It is believed that F-35 crisis cause to divide the way Turkey follows so Turkish officials changed the roadway at one of the most sophisticated fighter program of Turkish Republic with selecting Russian RD-93 engine.

That's what came to my mind when I see it. Crack on the wall is getting bigger and bigger.

Is there any other engine that has a 19200lb thrust ratio ? I couldn’t find...
Probably motor sich of ukraine may have a workable solution at their disposal. They are working on an engine as a follow on to AI-222 since almost a decade now. In their current financial crunch they may be tempted into a joint venture based out of Ukraine

Yeah it matches with TAI's brochure, it's likely the RD-93.
F404-GE-102 too weak and EJ-2000 slightly too strong.

But what i don't get is... if the RD-93 is able to reach 1,6 Mach why is Hürjet restricted to 1,4 Mach?

What Pak thinks today the rest of the Muslim world thinks tomorrow...

Many a lesson needs to be learnt from the recent capitulation of the Indo-Israeli (the most cunning from the Beni Adem) JV at the hands of the "fast and furious" PAF, and that too with only a couple of b$s in the treasury....
