Nice. The humble doner/shawrma cart has for long been an almost ubiquitous feature in most big cities here, of late the Baklava is also a bit hit, spl during Diwali when everyone is out gifting sweets to friends and family.
They say all mughlai food and kebabs also have their roots in Turkish cuisine. Also increasingly a popular travel destination, I know some who travel almost yearly to Istanbul, Antalya and some other places there, they're in love with the place.
Interesting country, smack bang in the middle of the cultural tectonic plates of the east and west.
