totally agree with you on this, till we don't get out of this "blame others" syndrome , nothing will change. we have wasted enough time on escaping our own short comings, especially the massive failure of the security establishment in failing to stop these attacks from happening with no sign of improvements in their performances, its high time for some in house introspection, ignoring this & blaming others will only do us harm in the long term

Pakistan's image is beyond maligned even before this. Like I said this is nothing new or surprising, thousands of such incidents happen in Pakistan each year. It happens so often that most outsiders are not phased because they have become too accustomed to this, in a few day it will be forgotten.

It was not any shadowy government agency, let's be real for once.

you say this because you don't know the area...
chilas has more sufiism of non barailvi type and tabligh.....Both these groups didn't even participate in Afghan jihad...and were some of the few Islamic idioligical groups who were opposing jihad at the time and still do..
and then tourists bring money to the area and nothing new for the people to see a few white men and women bobbing about..
