They did that after military operation of swat in 2007 failed. They were asked by military to go for negotiations with TNSM and nizam e adal was enforced. You wont remember but swatis actually celebrated at the news of nizam e adal. Sharia was demand of people of swat since 70s after things got worse with disolution of state of swat. Secularism doesnt mean you become opponent of sharia and refuse a popular demand.
Any how this nizam e adal was a topi drama by pak army, they were buying time after failure of 2007 operation. It worked as TNSM were caught off-gaurd by large invasion of pak army in 2009.

TTP kills or skilled target killers of MQM kill. Both equally condemnable.

Condemning TTP will not make me 'modern or secular'. Killing is killing. Be it a political party or be it a terror party.

Just bringing up threads of TTP terror do not make crimes of MQM terror any less significant. When TTP did not even exist, MQM was target killing rangers, police officers, collecting extortion and forcing unannounced strikes. This is not new. This has been going on in Karachi since mid eighties.

The problem with MQM seems it has a worthy challenger to challenge its badmaashi and terror in Karachi. It is indeed a very worrying situation for the city of Karachi.

What we remember is seeing them , having a sigh of relief after Pakistan Army established the writ of the Govt in Swat again and after brief but horrific and brutal Taliban rule and the enforcement of their version of Sharia . It might have been a popular demand but the people were soon to realize their mistake and mend their ways . The terrorists shouldn't have dared to advance in other areas ( Buner , Shangla , Dir ) after signing a " peace deal " with the state and getting their demands fulfilled , but they wanted something more . Couldn't possibly allow to enforce Islam at gun point's in the whole country , can we ? You might be ready for football stadium style justices and Mullahs killing or chopping body parts for the perceived " unislamic " activities but the same isn't the case with us .

TTP kills or skilled target killers of all other political parties kill. Both equally condemnable.

There , I fixed it for you ! Every single one of them , have a militant wing . Learn to differentiate between militancy and terrorism , even though its a very thin line but it is there nonetheless .

Swatis supported fazlullah and his war against state of pakistan....if they are now denying it now then they are lying. Fazlullah lost control over his men who were mostly outsiders and many ugly incidents took place which might have turned off some swatis but not enough to back down from nizam e adal.
Unlike swatis, people of dir and buner didnt support taliban and successfully repelled invasions of swati taliban....they were never appreciated by you people.
