TTP leader Fazlullah injured in Nooristan attack

PESHAWAR - Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Swat chapter chief Mullah Fazlullah, along with nine accomplices, was injured in an attack in Nooristan province of Afghanistan on Tuesday.

The reports from across the border revealed that the Afghan Taliban attacked Fazlullah’s compound in border regions of Kunar and Nooristan, using modern and sophisticated weapons.

The reports revealed that the gunfight between the Pakistani and the Afghan Taliban was in progress. However, no further details were available.

Fazlullah commanding the Taliban in Swat fled the area when the security forces carried out an operation there in 2009.

According to reports, Fazlullah and his accomplices have set up dins and shelters across the border in Afghanistan. These militants are involved in deadly attacks against security forces, tribal elders and volunteers of peace lashkars in Dir, Chitral, Bajaur and Mohmand agencies.

Things might be improving for Pakistan. If this news is true then very good. But Fazlullah needs to be removed from the political scenario completely. Fazlullah is currently, after Hakimullah Mehsud's death the top leader of the Pakistani Taliban. He must be eliminated along with Sajna.

Fazlullah however hides in Khost province of Afghanistan and carries out attacks from there into Pakistani territory. His attacks have been carried out in Lower dir where heavy fighting occured approximately an year ago. We need to stop the militants and be pro active in the process too.

Another thing is we need to eliminate threats before they occur. Not like in Swat when Fazlullah was giving speeches, he could have been arrested with a single policeman in 2005-2006. Instead the agencies let him preach hatred for years and go after only innocent people. Why wasn't he arrested then?

Accepting their demands?such as?accepting their writ?their parallel existence with our version of Islam?they are challenging our constitution,they have killed our military professionals,our civilians,have you forgotten that their hands are covered in blood?blood of our women,children and jawans?
Yes,we must have some peace settlement but with an objective to use it as a tool against them,with an objective to reduce their influence...rather then accepting their 'demands'...this will not only increase their confidence and strength but our acceptance will also give them justification to continue their insurgencies.
Remember,our objective behind our every move counts the most,because if we know our objective,then we will be able

It means it's not only a law and order problem created by these terrorists ! Lets see if talks can sustain peace although i highly doubt and might not trust TTP as there demands are likely to increase longer as the talks progresses
