definitely rightwing nativist sentiment is on the rise in the US, but it's on the rise around the world. The big reason Trump won was because Hillary was a warhawk, so corrupt and status quo.

From the inner cities to the suburbs and rural areas Americans are hurting. Our median wages haven't kept up with the rising costs. Costs for gas, basket of goods, healthcare have all risen while jobs are being outsourced by Wall Street and the lack of "fair share" of taxes being paid by these corporations.

An individual who for decades has kept the status quo. Tax breaks, paid speeches worth hundreds of thousands, two-faced policy, lack of respect for national security or American lives. To the eyes of Americans, who's view only matter in this regard, it was the lesser of two evils.

Its not the race side of thing I was going for at all. Its the extremist minded, terrorism supporting/sympathizing immigrant that I was highlighting with this particular individual.

They will find it over time it gets harder to find room to breathe in the west now compared to before.

Overall agree with your post. Working class went with the one they thought was most removed from the same ole political elite. Bernie was the only real candidate that could have made the election a win for the democrats.

Let's say around 25% will vote for her on first round next elections. In fact she is happy with Trump victory, but i'm not sure it is a good advertisement for her as 76% of french regret it. And some of their views are close (nationalism). But there economical programs are very different. She is far from being a liberal.
