and u believe that the americans will pay US$2000 per truck (or is that a rate per 10 years) ? what if the americans just told the pakistani govt 2 f off if a surcharge is placed on transit ? on the contrary, if a reasonable surcharge is fixed (say US$200 per annum per truck), do you really believe that the revenue generated will outweigh the amount of aid being reduced?
for all the pakistanis mouthing off the establishment, the aid being given isn't being done so just because the americans love pakistan. the war against the ttp reduced the pressure immensely on american forces in afghanistan. if Trump thinks that reducing aid is like taking away a piece of candy from a child, he is mistaken. that so called aid helps the pakistani army reduce american casualities on a daily basis. or perhaps Trump is leading americans to the mentality where they accept that their soldiers will die on a large scale basis once countries like pakistan stop focusing its energy to dent enemies of the americans at the cost of the lives of pakistani soldiers
