And remember not every country is desperate for validation from others. India bought s400, buys oil from Iran, continues port construction in Iran, does not toe US line on China, bound to make him unhappy. He understands that Modi just sweet talks him and gives nothing.He is used to more pliable nations in this region. Hence the frustration.

Please read it again. You think i write this without thinking but i can assure you i put twice the effort in selecting my words in most casual of conversations.

Now that you have mentioned Afghanistan and India. I can also tell you that ancient monks made Afghanistan their sanctuary for studying of religious texts long before Islam made its entry. This is one of very few advantages of being at a state of constant war.

Fact of the matter is that you don't go about and publicly humiliate your allies. As I said, it's not the first time Trump has mocked Modi. What is very noticeable is the complete silence from Indian side over these humiliations. As if a pet dog is told to sit and it obey.
