Google and facebook clearly told Chinese government they refuse to abide by Chinese laws. Tik Tok always says it will abide by local laws.

Chinese law is biased towards controlling, censoring and spying on people at a massive scale.. There is no way any free, modern, leading company will comply with these laws.. Only 2nd or 3rd place apps will sacrifice morals to get Chinese yuan.

If we are just comparing Tiktok with any app, now Tiktok has raised the bar to a point where no one can get out. I do not praise the US applications with many data security problems here; I point out how far China goes in this area.

A responsible country should not export rice as long as its people are in starvation. Indian and China are similar in population. But China is a big grain importer. Even China grain yield is much bigger than India.
