I hear Cuba has very good healthcare free for all citizens. It has a high literacy rate bench-marking that of industrialized nations. Can India or even my country beat that? Not for a long time. Their economy though took a hit after the USSR collapse.

Regardless of one's views about Castro, it is just wrong to celebrate one's death. Especially one that outlived nine U.S. presidencies. Not to mention the assassination attempts against him, Operation Mongoose.

Being an upcoming president, Mr. Trump should learn to control his big mouth more often instead of pandering around people's.....'feelings' just to boost his popularity.

To put it bluntly, it looks stupid and doesn't bode well for America's credibility.

No one gives a crap about what a clown like Trump has to say. Trump can't be half the man Castro was.

If Muslim immigration is not banned then in 50 years not only will America be having a racial problem but also a religious problem. The best way to stop a problem is to prevent it from happening in the first place. Students, tourists, visitors, diplomats are welcome. Immigrants are not.

The population of Cuba is 11M. The number of people who fled from Cuba is estimated to be 1.5M. That in itself should tell you something about his rule. I think the estimates were 80,000 people sent to the firing squad.

Castro was a brutal dictator, that's just facts. There are certainly dictators who are more brutal than him, but he was brutal to any opposition himself, and kept power with an iron fist.

As for great leader, I'd say he was somewhat greater than Kim Jong Il, but less so than Berlusconi. Berlusconi didn't have italian refugees fleeing the country on tires after all.

Nor did Berlusconi try to foment nuclear war between 2 superpowers and try to end life on earth.
