Trina Solar Limited to set up Solar Manufacturing Plant in Pakistan

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in a bid to create investment venues and opportunities for Pakistan to flourish the economy with resource utilization has met with the chief executive officer and chairman of Trina Solar, Jifan Gao. Premier is in Davos, Switzerland to attend the World economic forum. Trina Solar is a China-based company located in the province of Jiangsu, with branches in USA, Asia, and Europe. It produces solar cells, solar modules, wafers, and ingots. Also, the solar giant is listed in PPVX and NYSE.
Prime minister on this occasion was accompanied by a government official and member national assembly Miss Shiza Fatima.
Tina solar limited was founded in 1997 by Jifan Gao and due to its track of fast expansion and sheer progress, it is listed among the fasted growing companies.
Yangli is another solar giant a big competitor of Trina solar, but with its huge market share and rapid expansion Trina has left Yingli behind and now enjoys the status of world’s biggest solar panel maker.
The premier asked Trina chief to develop Solar Manufacturing Plant in Pakistan and assured him that government will extend full support and also, tax incentive would be granted to encourage manufacturing of solar panels.
As the country is struggling with power shortages, the solar alternative will create jobs in manufacturing units and as well as the steady supply of power. Jifan Gao appreciated Pakistan’s perspective to attract foreign investment and he told premier that we will in near future set up a Solar Manufacturing Plant in Pakistan.
