Trillion Dolla India versus Failed Pakistan

lol. What is surprising is that Amritsar is in one of India's more prosperous areas.

It's safe to assume that all humans are similiar in their preferances. Meaning non of us wake up in the morning and wish to get a job which entails effectively being used as a animal. Doing what a donkey, mule or horse or a engine might do in other countries. The fact that so many Indians in Amritsar are pulling or pedalling rickshaws as taxis must tell us something. I know this is non existent in Pakistan. Make your own conclusions about the trillion dolla economy. This is the India beyond the numbers and dazzle. The real India. And it's only can be seen only ten miles across the international border. Yes, just ten miles across the border you have men being used as beasts in the success that is India.
Apparently Kashmir and gilgit baltistan are Indian lmao

Listen sweetypie, point is that India is not what the Indian expatriates make it out to be.
India still has the largest number of poor people in the world. This is not about people in extreme poverty, this is about overall poverty.

India has many shortcomings.
India is not the land of opportunity people make it out to be.

India is still way behind the west in science and education.

Listen kid...no one in any wild dream will think that India is like West...Forget West...even if we can be like country Singapore..it will be a great achievement..

But that does not discount the fact...we are a critical economic power and definitely not economically poor country...

Well it is a mystery even for ur own parliamentarians.

The Sindh Assembly was on Monday informed that over 91,000 cars were registered in Karachi during 2014 and 2015 compared to only 19 vehicles registered in other parts of the province during the two-year period.

It seems all of Sindh registering their cars in Karachi and the figures for Karachi , isn't for the city alone , but includes cars from other regions of Sindh too . @gslv mk3

91,000 in 2 years means it will take 43 years to reach 2.1 million, assuming it had been constantly doing those figures upto 2011.

So even cars from 1968 where still running there in 2011.

Like seriously ?

Forget West...even if we can be like country Singapore..it will be a great achievement..

When west is trying to be like Singapore, a better knowledge based economy than many western countries...

Singapore GDP per capita 57,000 USD.

France GDP per capita 38,000 USD.

UK GDP per capita 39,720.44 USD.

Germany GDP per capita 44,469.91 USD.

Tiny Singapore with a population of of 5.9 million people, its total exports were $373.3 billion in 2017.

Nearly half of Singapore exports are really re-export of goods from other places. Given it sits on one of the most favorable location, it's no surprise. There is one more country like that, Pakistan, but you know the lost opportunities, with 200million people, exporting a staggering $25 Billion/Y and the only priority is Kashmir and Ghazwa e Hind.

Kashmir is related to economy as well, Indus river coming through it, jugular vein as said by Jinnah.

Pakistan has the potential to rise as it was rising earlier, get some good governance, end corruption and sure it will rise...has good strategic position, hard working people, intelligent as well...Pakistan actually ranks 7th in the world in number of doctors, engineers, post doctorate, Business management people produced yearly.

It is just a matter of time with things falling in places after a dreadful dark period of 13 years or so.

Indus doesn't flow through Kashmir if I remember correctly. It goes through Ladakh - Baltistan and so on.

It does have potential like any place with significant population. But, ending corruption, good governance and so on require a drastic change in policies. With hostilities in the border, I don't see it coming any time soon.

I'm not sure about the last sentences, please cite your source.

Hopefully.

such rickshaws were seen only in West Bengal and also Bangladesh , a south east Asian relic .

They aren't seen in any other parts of India ever .
Even in west Bengal they are a rarity these days .

There is no hand-pulled rickshaws in Bangladesh, they are only found in India. What we have is cycle-rickshaw that too being replaced by battery-powered rickshaws these days.

The seventh-largest pool of scientists and engineers come from Pakistan. And the fourth largest broadband internet system in the world is in Pakistan.

Pakistan is the first and only Islamic country to have attained nuclear power. It is also notable for having one of the best trained air-force pilots in the world. The country’s missile technology is one of the best in the world. The country produced a large quantity of various types of missiles in a very short time since it became a nuclear power. It also boasts of the sixth-largest military force in the world. In cooperation with China, Pakistan has produced the PAC JF-17 Thunder aircraft — a lightweight, single-engine, multi-role combat aircraft developed by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC).

Not any place, it's strategic position is unique, at the cusp of take off...why Saudia is lending a 12 billion USD package, including oil on deferred payment, and 3 billion USD. UAE is offering a 6 billion economic assistance and from China it will be a surprise and reading some articles it will be huge relief.

In this age of globalization, no country can isolate any other country, Pakistan engaging China and with it other countries like Russia is a strategic maneuver and a change from old uni-polar world.

2 Pakistani universities in Asia top 100 and about 10 Pak universities in Asia top 300 QS ranking...

Some people overcharge. It's not good but you can't control it because there are no rules. Customers get fun and enjoyment. Some complain about the money and we say, if £20 is too much, you can give £10. Other times, you say £40 for 20 minutes and they give you £50. Some people have so much money, they don't care — they give you £200 for an hour. It depends on the people — without rules, this will always be a problem.

So this I copied from the link. I would love to know how much a pedal-rickshaw driver in India earns. Also what are your thoughts on demand and supply? Did you see the video for first 10 mins? I wouldn't be amazed to find out that there were more than 100 pedal rickshaw drivers in just 1st ten minutes. And to compare that to London, I am not sure there would be 100 total in the whole London. Don't you agree?:-)
