What's new

Treasury is empty; Nawaz tells nation.

These are the tax rates an ordinary (middle income) taxpayer (like me) pays
1 0 to Rs400,000/- 0%
2 Rs400,000/- to Rs750,000/- 5% of the amount of exceeding Rs400,000/-
3 Rs750,000/- to Rs1,500,000/- Rs17,500/- + 10% of the amount of exceeding Rs750,000/-
4 Rs1,500,000/- to Rs2,000,000/- Rs95,000/- + 15% of the amount of exceeding Rs1,500,000/-
5 Rs2,000,000/- to Rs2,500,000/- Rs175,000/- + 17.5% of the amount of exceeding Rs2,000,000/-
6 Rs2,500,000/- and above Rs420,000/- + 20% of the amount of exceeding Rs2,500,000/-==================================
Just calculate the tax payable at these incomes and what is actually being paid. The point is that these people themselves enjoy the luxury of tax exempt income sources.

u should show that to Nawaz sharif as well ...after seeing his tax returns ..i feel proud ..even im more rich then him

aur bhie saab ish hamaam mei saab se nangay Nawaz sharif ( Prime minister to be )

PKR 500 billion going to waste each year = USD 5.0 billion.....thats 80% of PK defence budget right there.....think how many schools, hospitals, roads, small scale dams can be built with this money.....think of the downstream effect from these projects....jobs, jobs, jobs......think this 500 billion can pay-off the circular-debt in an instant and then no more energy crisis of the level we are facing.....wow amazing...!!!

NONE.

I have seen myself even the foreign funded biggest School projects did not happen just because the politicians wanted these to be handed over to them for construction so that they can pocket the money. And here we are there were NO schools for Swat.
and at last the FOREIGNE donors bowed down and given quiet a handosme per centage to the goons and along with that no schools happened.

Treasury is empty; Nawaz tells nation.

and then says only for you gareebo.... :sick:

Considering the fact that only 0.57% of Pakistanis - 768,000 individuals - paying income tax last year this is bound to happen.

In comparable countries, the level is about 15%.
