it depends on Tehran regime paranoia, and it's very high.

Their intel skills sucks and they just can't know anything, so they suspect of every foreigner.

It's very unlikely to be mistaken as spy in the West, because electronic espionage is complete and they know everything of everyone.

But Iran knows nothing, so they suspect of everyone.

Even in the case of a real espionage, it's stupid to arrest him. It's more useful spy the spies and know what they do and with who they talk, but Iran lacks the electronic means of do it efficiently, so they arrest everybody .

Sad, because Iran is a real interesting place to visit, plenty of history. They would earn a lot of income with a good touristic industry.

I dont want to derail the thread, but those people you talk about, they are not mossad agents, they are not even jews.

They are just starving Iranian beggars, of some minority, excluded economically, marginalised and ignored by Iran state, who do sabotage in exchange of some piece of Kebab from Israel.
