Yeah...I do. We did not 'handed' you semiconductor technologies (plural) in the sense that we gave it away for nothing. We 'handed' the tech to you from obeying many of your laws that forced US companies to partner with yours. The word 'handed' here is rhetorical but it is essentially true. EVERYTHING that is China's modern semiconductor industry came from Western sources.

Do not think that I do not know what I am talking about. I am in the semicon industry. I pretty much proved my credentials to one of the Chinese members here who used to work for Intel at Fab 68 Dalian.

Well, many of the postdocs that developed these technologies in Western companies and labtories were Chinese. They got offered very generous packages to go back to China with the tech. Many are opening labs in China to develop the next generation of semiconductors.

Hi Bhai, I don't know you and I don't care. Of course we have to start from somewhere, you think semiconductor technology got downloaded into our brains from the heavens like how the Indians did it since vedic times? But to undermine Chinese indigenous effort and R&D is pure bullshit. You worked in Intel Dalian, but did you work in SMIC? AMEC? and the gang? Can you verify everything they did was from US? Can you verify they didn't develop any technology? You could be a janitor in Intel all I know...
