TPP failure would cost the US trade dominance

The more Trump thinks of bring jobs into US back from countries like India, limiting H1B visas, the more US will loose its predominance. He should remember that US companies are global companies with majority of them earning major share of their revenues outside US. For companies like Google, Amazon, Facebook etc.. US is saturated markets and their future depends on markets of countries such as India. An inward looking US administration will jeopardize its own economy more than of others.
It's true.
That's why most Chinese prefer him even though he always talks about non-sense such as China raping US.
He himself benefits predominantly from global trade, his own buildings are full of foreign companies and Chinese banks.
He is actually one of the "rapists" on those sexist, racist, xenophobic and low-education white people living in the interior.

The world will not be losing much. There is always a better alternative. TPP was not a trade deal in pure sense, after all. It was a containment plan. Now, it is as dead as US extreme-liberal regime.

China, Peru agree to promote better, faster growth of ties
Source:Xinhua Published: 2016/11/22 8:45:05

Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Peruvian counterpart, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, on Monday agreed to promote better and faster development of the two countries' comprehensive strategic partnership.

The consensus was reached during in-depth talks between the two heads of state after a red-carpet welcoming ceremony hosted by Kuczynski in front of the presidential palace.

Invited by Kuczynski, Xi arrived in the Peruvian capital of Lima on Friday to attend the annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting and pay his first state visit to the Latin American country.

Xi told Kuczynski that he hopes the visit will deepen the two countries' traditional friendship, promote all-round dialogue and cooperation, and boost the China-Peru comprehensive strategic partnership, so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Recalling Kuczynski's visit to China in September, the Peruvian president's first foreign visit since he was sworn in on July 28, Xi said they held fruitful talks and agreed to push forward bilateral relations into a new phase.

The coming five years are a significant time for national development of both countries, the Chinese president said, urging the two sides to weigh top-level design and overall planning for bilateral ties, run their cooperation mechanisms well, fully implement their joint action plan for cooperation in 2016-2021, and strengthen synergy of development strategies so as to obtain real results of their consensuses.

He stressed that both countries should treat industrial capacity cooperation as a new engine for their economic ties and strive for early harvest of major projects.

The two sides can also further reinforce cooperation in mining industry, energy and infrastructure construction, as well as explore new cooperation fields such as environmental protection, clean energy and information connectivity.

Calling on both countries to upgrade their free trade agreement signed in 2009 in a bid to inject new vitality into two-way trade, Xi said the Chinese government will continue to encourage capable enterprises to invest in the Latin American country.

In addition, Xi advised both sides to constantly expand exchanges in culture, education, science and technology, healthcare, sports, media, colleges and universities, think tank and other areas, as well as strengthen tourism cooperation.

Xi congratulated Peru on the success of the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, noting that the substantial results of the meeting contained Peru's contribution and Latin America's wisdoms at large.

He said China stands ready to work with Peru and other APEC member economies to earnestly implement the meeting's results, constantly push forward the process of building a Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific (FTAAP), and jointly forge an open economy in the region.

Hailing the sustained growth of bilateral relations, Kuczynski said Peru is looking forward to further enhancing ties with China since both share similar historical experiences, same aspiration for national development, and huge potential for cooperation in the economic and cultural fields.

Peru is willing to upgrade its free trade agreement with China, Kuczynski said, adding that Chinese investment in mining industry, energy, hydropower, transportation and infrastructure are welcomed.

The Peruvian president also voiced hope that both countries will strengthen ties in education, culture and tourism and create more favorable conditions for people-to-people exchanges.

Peru appreciates China's support for the country in hosting the APEC meeting, Kuczynski said, stressing that Lima is ready to work with Beijing in boosting trade and investment liberalization as well as opposing protectionism in the Asia-Pacific.

Following their talks, Xi and Kuczynski witnessed a signing ceremony of cooperation documents, including an inter-governmental joint action plan for cooperation in 2016-2021, and deals in trade and economy, mining industry, industrial parks, information connectivity, economic technology, quality inspection, environment and other fields.

Accompanied by Kuczynski and his wife, Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan paid tribute to the monument of Peru's independence heroes earlier in the day.

Peru is the second leg of Xi's current three-nation Latin America tour. Prior to Peru, Xi paid a state visit to Ecuador. The final stop of the week-long tour will be Chile.

It is Xi's third visit to Latin America as Chinese president since he took office in 2013.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump announced Monday that he will withdraw the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) on his first day in office.

"I'm going to issue a notification of intent to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a potential disaster for our country," Trump said.

Trump made the remarks in a short video in which he outlined his policy plans for the first 100 days in office.

"Instead, we'll negotiate fair bilateral trade deals that bring jobs and industry onto American shores," he added.

Trump said he will cancel "job-killing restrictions on the productions of American energy......creating many millions of high-paying jobs."

On ethics reform, government officials will be banned from becoming lobbyists within the first five years after leaving office and will be banned from lobbying on behalf of a foreign government for life.

Trump also pledged to draw up a comprehensive national security plan and order a probe into visa program abuses.

On regulation, Trump said for every one new regulation, two old ones must be eliminated.

The policies are aimed at reforming Washington and rebuilding the American middle class, Trump said.

Trump ascended to presidency earlier this month after beating Democrat Hillary Clinton. He is now in the process of forming his administration and preparing for officially taking over the White House on Jan. 20.

The TPP, a free trade pact between 12 Asia-Pacific countries, has been signed but not yet ratified by the U.S. lawmakers. During his election campaign, Trump had said he strongly opposed the deal.

Thank you, Mr. President!

Looks like Abe got nothing

I anticipate a Philippines-like radical diplomatic sway-pivot in Japan. If not under Abe, who will likely to resist and fight the ground reality, a potential new PM will direct Japan more towards China.

I hope the US and Japan will have major disagreements over the host-nation payment of the US military by Japan. This will hopefully lead to eventual removal of the US military from, first, Okinawa, and then the rest of Japan.

Remember all the Vietnamese members a few months back bragging that once TPP is implemented, China is finished?

What happened? Donald Trump is what happened.

Trump is pro-American people. TPP is designed to the benefit of multinationals, not the ordinary people of any country.

That's why it was negotiated in secret. If people knew what it is about, they would be against it. Wikileaks helped expose many of the details in TPP.

TPP was intended for multinationals that never care about nationality.
I won't be surprised if one day Ford moves its headquarter to Mexico.
It has very little to do with those xenophobic low-education low-skill low-life-expectancy white people who are living in the interior with collapsing downtowns and derailed railways.

Japan PM says TPP trade pact meaningless without U.S.

By Kiyoshi Takenaka | BUENOS AIRES
The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) would be meaningless without U.S. participation, Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Monday as U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said he would withdraw the United States from the pan-Pacific free trade deal.

Abe, who attended a gathering of TPP leaders in Lima on Saturday, said there was no discussion at the meeting that other members should try to put the TPP into effect without the United States, Abe told reporters in Buenos Aires.

"The TPP would be meaningless without the United States," Abe said.

Trump released a video on Monday laying out actions he would take on his first day in office on Jan. 20, including withdrawing the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Trump campaigned for the U.S. presidency on a promise to pull out of the 12-nation trade deal, calling it a job-killing "disaster."

Abe, who met Russian President Vladimir Putin last week to discuss economic cooperation and a decades-old territorial row, stressed at the Buenos Aires news conference his resolve to put an end to the island dispute under his leadership.

"This is the problem that cannot be solved without the relationship of trust between leaders," Abe said.

"I will be directly communicating with President Putin and make progress one solid step at a time."

The territorial row over the chain of western Pacific islands, seized by Soviet troops at the end of World War Two, has upset diplomatic ties ever since, precluding a formal peace treaty between Tokyo and Moscow.

Low-education, low-skill, low-life expectancy can be used to describe many groups of people in the world.

Infact in America, vast majority of Blacks and Hispanics fall into that category and most of them are also more racist, less tolerant and far more violent than white people.

Whites have their issues, but the others are worse.

Cruz and Rubio are Cuban-Americans. Cubans are usually the best out of the Hispanic groups. I think Cubans are the most successful out of the Hispanic groups in America.

If you see the violence in the streets, gangs and pure racist filth spewed, the Mexicans are the absolute worst. They make these white racists look like amateurs by comparison.

And I don't need to tell you about the behaviour of Blacks in America.

The Black and Hispanic neighbourhoods are not places you want to live in America.

Because Blacks and Hispanics are minorities, they get a free pass in the media because calling out their racism, violence and intolerance is considered bullying minorities. Media refuses to talk about them. So only whites are exposed by media because they are the majority and are easy targets to pick on. This leads to everyone thinking whites are bad and blacks and Hispanics are good.

58% of white people voted for Trump. But 95% of blacks voted for Obama twice. I bet you many of those black people voted for Obama just because of his skin colour.
